The word is finally out! We just raised $110M to build the future of product analytics with two fantastic new investors.

There's never been a better time to join! We're hiring across the board on eng. Come work with me at Heap! https://t.co/KWeVpbKaCa

Awesome blog post by @JamesHKatz on the win we've gotten out of rolling out Zstandard, which is available in the new version of ZFS.

Shrank our dataset by 20%, improved write throughput, and made the product more stable! https://t.co/E2Eiylj1HR

What if the real $1.8B is the friends we made along the way? Congrats to all my @StackOverflow friends, wishing we were all together tonight to celebrate and reminisce.

Come work with me at Heap! We're hiring engineers and managers across the board to work on a rapidly growing product with a fantastic team. Tons of interesting problems from data platform (processing billions of events every day) to UI and visualizations https://t.co/KWeVpbKaCa

[David Fullerton @df07]

@bretcope @heap Yes, that's the plan. Heap's eng team is already half remote, and likely to be even more remote post-COVID.

[David Fullerton @df07]

Today I'm starting a new job leading engineering @heap! My wife suggested we take some pictures to commemorate my first new job in 10 years.

[David Fullerton @df07]

It's a market that is really taking off (see the recent Segment acquisition news!) with a ton of opportunity still out there. If any of this sounds interesting to you, let's talk! https://t.co/Jpqsy6UgI5

[David Fullerton @df07]

The potential impact of this work is huge. At Stack Overflow I was able to have a big impact on individual developers, but Heap is impacting the people who actually make decisions about product by arming them with real data and insights.

[David Fullerton @df07]

If you're a team that might be looking for an engineering leader, my inbox is open. I'm not yet actively looking, but I am interested in hearing about what's out there and whether I might be able to help.

[David Fullerton @df07]

So this ended up being interesting timing, but after ten years at Stack Overflow I’ve decided it's finally time to move on. I'll be taking a few months off to take care of my family and then looking for something new.

[David Fullerton @df07]

If I can be of help to anyone navigating the sudden transition to remote work, please get in touch. One of the things I’m most proud of in my time at Stack Overflow is how we grew and evolved our remote culture. Remote work isn’t always easy, and we learned a lot along the way.
