An account to show the true picture of #Flymaybe and how the poor baggage policy is penalising once loyal customers... ultimately this can’t last long.
Hope the new owners at @flybe get a grip of things. I’ve persevered with their lamentable punctuality & uncompetitive pricing over 2 years and 50+ flights, but the supposed ‘enforcement’ of baggage policy and testing of a case I’ve happily brought on previous flights is a new low
@jgillespie813 Hi John, I'm writing from the i paper in London. I'd be interested to hear about your recent experience with Flybe and their handling of the new zero tolerance hand baggage policy. How can I best contact you? Rebecca
@Saywhatgert@flybe If you don’t work for Southampton Airport then it has feck all to do with you....and my point is to Flybe as a company not a baggage handler! Goodbye now Gert 👋
Hey @flybe, why is it when I fly on your aircraft with an air france based ticket my 'designed for airline cabin' baggage is OK size wise yet if I fly on a flybe ticket the same bag is classed as too big for 'safety reasons' and so incurs a charge at the gate? #doesntmakesense
@Saywhatgert@flybe Well you seem so passionate about an airline.....and they seem to be making a load of money by charging people for their ‘cabin’ baggage! Please leave now!!

@flybe 1st of all, thank you for the safe flight. However, I was charged a €70 fee on my return leg from Amsterdam. My baggage had no difficulties on the outgoing journey as it met.
For someone with RRMS, the charge is unacceptable & difficult
@flybe It is untrue that every airline has different cabin baggage sizes (whether a second bag is allowed is a different issue and those that don't allow a second bag make that clear). 55 x 40 x 20 is standard among with low cost airlines, apart from you apparently.
@flybe please explain to me why your website gives info on baggage allowance, and yet the baggage allowance in Cardiff airport is of a smaller scale forcing organised passengers, who have purchased luggage to fit your requirements, to pay a harsh charge of £50 per bag,per flight?
