One year ago, 19 children and two teachers were murdered in their classrooms in Uvalde by a gunman armed with a weapon of war.
As we honor their lives today, we must continue to work towards policy solutions that help prevent tragedies like this in the future.
While tomorrow is the one year mark of the Robb Elementary Massacre in Uvalde, today around 10 P.M. is the last time I saw Uzi, as I told him to go to bed, ruffled his hair and told him I loved him. I didn’t see him on the 24th as I left for work before the kids got up for school
It’s been one year since the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas that killed 19 students and two teachers, and relatives are still waiting for answers.
Veronica Mata, who lost her 10-year-old daughter, Tess, is one of them.

🚨🚨🚨 Brand new Uvalde law enforcement body camera footage shows officers vomiting and sobbing outside after they entered the classroom.
After a months long investigation into why police hesitated during the Uvalde school shooting, the answer is the police were afraid to confront the killer’s AR-15.
This raises a very important question, if police are too afraid to confront an AR-15 where does that lead the rest of us?
Nearly 400 law enforcement officers were implicated in the poor response that left 19 children dead.
It’s time to ban assault rifles.
🚨🚨🚨Holy shit: A father of a child who was killed in the Uvalde school shooting SLAMMED Texas legislators for their “useless thoughts and prayers.”
Brett Cross boldly testified in front of a Texas House committee in support of legislation that would raise the minimum age to buy semi-automatic weapons from 18 to 21.
Brett Cross: “I'm so sick of hearing those three words from our elected officials…
While your prayers may have comforted you, they did nothing to absolve our pain...
Your thoughts and prayers didn't stop an 18 year old from purchasing two high powered semi automatic rifles and all of those rounds of ammunition.
Your thoughts and prayers didn't stop us from having to bury our children and two teachers.
Your thoughts and prayers haven't done anything in the 329 days since Uziel was shot through his stomach exiting his spine.
Your thoughts and prayers are useless unless you have thought and prayed for legislation that you can help enact that could change this.”
Thank you so much to Brett Cross and these BRAVE parents for speaking out!
