@GoodTakesLib@wideofthepost I am not sure about MI but we had a similar situation in NC and I was very dismayed to learn that the whole top of the D ticket had endorsed the beneficiary of all of the dark money.
@LisaTalmadge@ravi_mangla if I only had my seat because my benefactor, who spent millions of dollars getting me elected, got indicted for super fraud I would simply resign.
@IzzyDad2021@JWalt84 this sentiment always tickles me because the Millennial I know who makes by far the most money got a degree in Musical Theatre. I know plenty of people with degrees in Computer Science who are struggling. Most of it seems to come down to how wealthy your parents were/are.
@instcc@KPASKSWHY I am not super interested in the opinion of the guy who presided, as chair of the DNC, over the loss of the Presidency, Senate and House. Right-leaning moderates are generally not understood to be the base of the Democratic Party.
@cryo_tom@ReactorR@BertDalziel if you can spend $50,000 on a super pac for one candidate that dwarfs the impact of one vote. It gets to a point where having people/firms who can afford to rig everything in their favor stifles competition and therefore innovation and productivity.
@vivian39_@henrygeorgestan@RiniSampath it's a shame that the dc media seems to only care about people who are already on city council for mayor and delegate.
@SafeLegalCommon@Euthenos_ the overwhelming majority of suburbs in the US at least were developed around highways sixty or so years ago. I'd wager there'd be less hate toward suburbs if more of them were like yours.
@SockDem_ a BAT would increase taxes on lobbying firms whose owners live in Maryland and Virginia. I think they'll be fine. And it's not like they can pick up and do business elsewhere.
@ColMoeDavis I think it's irresponsible for a political party in the grips of a gerontocracy, the consequence of which is the degradation of our ability to deliver on our agenda, to platform someone literally on his deathbed. Anti-trans rhetoric totally flopped against Spanberger.
