@Nat83052921 @SahilBloom @DrChowdharyMD Yup - the critical access hospitals suffer so much here in the US. No one wants to live so far removed from “city life”. I purposely went out and did multiple shifts just to see what these clinicians face. That way when they call for a transfer, I understand.

@zazdoc @SahilBloom In residency once I was told I am not allowed to place an arterial-line because I crossed the 30hr mark in a 36hr shift. I asked if my Chief cared I was headed home driving a 5,000lbs projectile on a freeway at 70+ mph . . . . It became awkward

@MariaSheikhMD @SahilBloom Watch out for the various societies of medicine putting the blame ON YOU for lack of work - life balance - they will readily tell you that you “should” meditate, practice yoga, eat balanced meal, pray, love ect ect ect. Obviously nothing wrong with the system.
