Proud to have completed the @economicspeace Ambassadorship Program, gaining valuable insights on positive peace and peacebuilding. Excited to continue promoting these principles as an IEP Ambassador.
Every illness is usually assumed to be malaria without any proper medical examination. That’s how I nearly died during my 200 level, suffering from ulcers without realizing it. I kept taking malaria drugs until I finally went home and got a proper checkup.

If a campus has existed for nearly 20 years without meaningful impact, it is simply real estate. A university is expected to serve its host community only when its academic programs align with the local economy, governance connects the institution to the town, and its economic benefits reach the community.
UNIOSUN Ifetedo falls short on all three. Its programs are disconnected from the local economy, and there is no meaningful town-gown governance structure. If the State is serious about building a stronger and more sustainable university system, it should not hesitate to consolidate campuses that have failed to fulfill their purpose. When I become Governor, I will do it ! 😁🫣
As an alumnus, I have read several conflicting statements about the unfortunate incident that happened at the Osun State University, Ifetedo Campus. My heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, and I pray they find the strength to bear this painful loss.
This moment also calls for honest reflection on the state of the University’s campuses. In my view, Osun State no longer has the financial capacity to sustainably operate a multi-campus university system. My understanding is that the arrangement was created largely for political convenience rather than academic necessity.
As I have stated publicly before, it is time to amend the Act establishing the University, consolidate resources, strengthen infrastructure, and position the institution to grow and thrive from a more sustainable and academically viable location.

Having students vacate their hostels, we have students who are travelling as far Abuja, Kogi, Abeokuta…….. this same hostel where students during exams, wake up as early and 6am on the day their exams to get water from neighbouring houses.

The Vice-Chancellor of UNIOSUN placed an embargo on field trips until further notice, stating that the university must not expose students to unnecessary risks or make them vulnerable. Yet, students of the Ifetedo Campus have now been compelled to travel under the same unsafe
This is UNIOSUN Ifetedo campus health center. This is supposed to serve over 1500 students
All students should join hands with this campaign

We can no longer watch the Osun State health system fail students and residents.
We call on the Osun State Government to urgently fix the system. The people deserve quality healthcare, not neglect and disappointment.

Egbon,
This is Ifetedo, not Ipetumodu.
Also, while I agree that the government should be held accountable for the lack of a standard hospital in Ifetedo, this issue shouldn't be reduced to politics alone.
The immediate failure here is that the university did not provide adequate medical care for its students. That deserves criticism in its own right. By all means, hold Governor Adeleke accountable for the broader state of healthcare infrastructure, but also condemn the institutional failure of the university.
Not every issue should be viewed solely through a political lens.

My school built a new hostel for nurses and doctors to be available round the clock and they couldn't even attend to an asthmatic patient, saying they were low on resources! The lackdastical attitude is alarming!!

Many students openly told him today that they didn’t vote for him and do not recognize him as their leader. I’ve always referred to them as “Toothless Bulldogs.” Imagine this is his first visit to the campus since becoming president, after eight full months in office.
Osun State University Students Union is the most useless and ineffective student body I’ve ever seen. This has been my position since my days since my days a s student and I still stand by it!
You forgot to add that there’s no stable electricity.
There’s absolutely nothing intriguing about that town. All they care about are useless traditional rites. There is absolutely nothing about that town that justifies hosting a university campus in the first place.
