Hey @LynAldenContact
Just finished Broken Money and wanted to thank you for writing such a great book 🙏❤️ It is both informative and great storytelling - “who controls the ledger?”😉
The historical context for money combined with recent changes within our financial systems and governments is something that should be taught in schools.
My only slight criticism, would be that while the majority of book was well researched, the computer science of blockchains was a little inaccurate. I appreciate that not being your area of expertise meant you probably had to rely on others.
Do you value Decentralisation?
Voting power/DRep decentralisation is the single most important area to focus on right now.
Everything in governance is changeable. If someone has the voting power to make a change and it is constitutional, then we can’t do anything about it.
So register as a DRep or delegate to one. That means you 🫵 do it now.
We had such a great time at this year’s @AusCryptoCon, representing @IntersectMBO and the #Cardano community in our region.
Thanks @theoldtales for capturing some of the highlights. I believe there may be a couple more coming soon
I am Cardano for life. I’ve been here for years, unwavering. I’ve spent so much of my energy spreading the Cardano gospel.
Lately, though, I’ve been more focused on World Mobile. The project genuinely excites me—the mission, the vision, and the progress they’re making.
But I’ve noticed that this shift isn’t always well-received by some in the Cardano community. Why is that?
Unfortunately, due to family health reasons I am not able to attend the Cardano Constitutional Convention in Argentina, but I still wanted to provide input to the conversation. I have therefore forked the current @IntersectMBO draft and rewritten the areas I felt were overly wordy and/or complex. I have retained the original Article names, to allow for easy comparison. Based on discussions with other community members (particularly @yutazzz), there are a few reasons for wanting to make the first community Cardano Constitution simpler.
1. The Constitution is about putting guardrails in place to ensure that WHAT we all agree Cardano should be isn’t able to be changed by any one person or group. But by design guardrails are in conflict with freedoms, so should be used sparingly and only when essential. Any governance actions that are not enacted on-chain and therefore do not risk compromising the Cardano blockchain's function should be left for the DReps to decide without intervention by the Constitutional Committee.
2. An overly complex Constitution makes it more difficult for proposers of governance actions to ensure their proposal will be constitutional. It also makes it more difficult for the Constitutional Committee to assess the constitutionality of governance actions.
3. The Constitution is written in English. The more words that are used to communicate intent, the more difficult it becomes to translate into other languages in a way that ensures the original intent is maintained.
4. After ratifying our first community Constitution, it will be easier to introduce additional content if needed to a small document, than it will be to make changes to simplify an overly complex document later.
Please check it out here https://t.co/0lb8FQsvzL and provide your feedback. I would be interested to know whether there are any scenarios where this constitution does not provide sufficient protection.
Thanks 🙏

Awesome job to the Aussie Cardano crew managing the Cardano @IntersectMBO stand at @AusCryptoCon
You guys rock!!!!!
I was there in spirit. Someone better have a Hydra Doom cap for me.
Excited for this 🙌
From games to governance, can’t wait to showcase the progress being made in the #Cardano ecosystem on the @IntersectMBO booth at @AusCryptoCon 😀

Had such a great time at the Perth #Cardano Constitution workshop yesterday. Thanks @Nate_Olympus for organising, @uwanews for hosting and @dgov_education for promoting 🙏
I hope that the contributions from our little corner of the world can help shape a constitution that will provide a robust decentralised governance system, so Cardano will continue to evolve and truly deliver on the vision of what blockchain can be 💙
