@AdamKlobukowski @marcan42 Wouldn't this not help at all in this case? The issue seems to be that the data never even got flushed to the storage device it just remains in the OS cache. So it never reaches the drive cache and therefore the capacitors won't help.

@linusgsebastian I vote fight it on principle. Never let yourself be bullied like that. If anything do it so your kids learn, that if you f up so badly there are consequences and you don't get to just avoid all responsibility. Otherwise this sets a really bad example.
