The question is who fact checks the fact checkers. 3rd party fact checkers for Twitter & Facebook are simply censors who arbitrarily decide what is publishable based on their biases. They are not beyond bias and thus restrict content.
๐จ BREAKING: The Parliamentary Budget Officer has just confirmed the governmentโs fiscal plan is falling apart.
The PBO says there is less than a 1% chance the government will achieve its own deficit target.
Federal operating spending has been revised up to $142 billion. Economic growth continues to weaken. Canada is now in a recession.
Yet, as the countryโs finances deteriorate, the Finance Minister still refuses to disclose the cost of a sovereign wealth fund that would be financed with $25 billion in borrowed money.
Canadians are being asked to take on more debt without being told the full price tag.
Parliament cannot properly scrutinize a fiscal plan when key costs are being withheld. If this is a sound investment, why is the government refusing to show Canadians the bill?

Since coming to power in 2015 the Liberals have appointed over 740 of our roughly 1000 federal judges, 7 of the 9 Supreme Court judges, and 100 of the 105 senators.
The government also pays roughly 30% of every reporterโs salary in Canada.
Of the ~36,000 well bores in the Middle East ~10,000 of them have been shut-in resulting in production down ~12MM Bbl/d. Sultan Al-Jaber of the UAE said will take at least 4 months to return 80% of supply. An oilfield service co. warned me of >700k bbl/d of potential capacity damage. Yet, a journalist today writes of a "flood" in a matter of weeks. No wonder consensus is so bearish!
It doesn't matter what Carney says. His party, first nations, and provincial premiers like David Eby, won't let us build any energy infrastructure.
If Carney was serious about the MOU with Alberta, he would immediately issue an Order In Council.
Smith is getting played.... or she's in on the scam.
SENATORS ARE UNELECTED
Alberta gets just 6 out of 105 Senate seats.
The Atlantic provinces combined โ with 55% LESS population โ get 30 seats!
Time to wake up, Alberta.
The government paying for your food sounds like communism to me. The commie Liberals are parading around today like itโs a win. Epic failure of humanity IMO.
Look, Alberta, you're in a deeply abusive relationship with Ottawa. They control our finances, slap us with endless equalization payments, restrict our main industry every chance they get, impose policies with don't agree with, and treat us like an ATM that also has to apologize for existing.
But hey... divorce is expensive. You'd have to get your own apartment (sovereignty), pay your own bills (debt share, military, borders, pensions), and figure out groceries (replacing federal programs).
That's like $200 billion upfront (i.e first 3-5 years) and $25 billion a year after that. Call it $40,000 per Albertan just to stop the beatings! We'll send that to Quebec in the next 5 years.
The alternative?? You're miserable, disrespected, and getting robbed blind every year... but at least you have a roof over your head (sort of) and you know the devil you know.
Is it really better to just keep quiet, take the abuse, and hope they occasionally throw you a few scraps instead of having to adult on your own?
Brett, Premier Smith, Kenney, Nenshi and so many others want you to belive that staying in a toxic relationship is the fiscally responsible choice.
"World-class morons for even thinking about leaving. Except my buddy Keith." Thanks Brett.
P.S. Alberta's GDP would immediately make it a G30 country.
P.P.S. There are 50+ smaller countries around the World that manage all this already. Think Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Thailand. We can do this.
I couldnโt have said it better ! After all my many years in Canada, I have come to the conclusion that STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES! ELBOWS UP! Insanity is voting for the same Liberals every election but expecting a different result
Taxes and currency devaluation add up to $1.00 per litre on gasoline in Canada
Liberals poor economic performance has devalued the CAD currency and on top of that, Carbon Tax Carney loves to tax gasoline so you canโt afford to buy it and you have to go out and buy a Chinese EV.
CANADA EXPLAINS GUN SAFETY TO AMERICA ๐จ๐ฆ๐บ๐ธ
Mark Carney attempts to explain Canadaโs gun strategy to Trump and Vance.
How do you think it goes?๐ค
The things Alberta will miss out if they leave.
Taxation with minimal representation
A government 3300km away
Sending billions to foreign governments no strings attached
Going broke decarbonizing
Paying billions to support โrefugeesโ
Going broke trying to piss off Trump
๐จ BREAKING
US excluded Canada from trade talks with Mexico.
USA + Mexico: three rounds of bilateral trade talks
USA + Canada: nothing.
No formal negotiating process.
No calendar.
No call.
One month before the CUSMA review deadline.
Carney ran on his ability to handle Trump.
He was the โTrump whisperer.โ
The US made their position clear: theyโd rather talk to Mexico.
If you want to run Alberta, the way Canada ran Alberta... yeah, it'll be hundreds of billions of dollars because there's a blatant disregard for money.
But we're not making Canada 2.0.
We're making Alberta.
Strange how Carney fact checks never come from the his fawning media "The prime Minister instead spread misinformation. He told all of you that investment has been up the last two quarters. Well, this is a quote directly from the StatsCan report. Business capital investment fell 0.7% in the first quarter of 2026, the fifth consecutive quarterly decline."
"And so the Prime Minister once again is failing the Canadian people by refusing to tell them the truth" @PierrePoilievre@MarkJCarney
Last year, I told Canadians I have a plan to build the strongest economy in the G7.
Today, under my leadership, Canada is the only G7 country officially in a recession.
I failed at the Bank of Canada. I failed at the Bank of England.
Now, I'm failing as Prime Minister.

He predicted, 1 year 3 months ago that the U.S is heading into a recession while Canada would be ok.
Meanwhile, today, the U.S is not in a recession but we are.
Amazing Economist!

๐จ๐ฆ Canada vs USA ๐จ๐ฆ.
Industrial investment since 1980.
One line is at an all-time high.
One line just hit a 45-year low โ circled at the bottom.
No tariffs caused this. No pandemic. No external shock.
The divergence started in 2015. The chart remembers.
