It’s a BIGGGG LIST:

1. Family is often accused to be status quoist.

2. Karl Marx says family assures conformity to the individual thereby submitting to the exploitation of haves.

3. Family is accused of producing psychological disorders in children.

4. RD Laing in his book 'Politics of Family' studies schizophrenic children and concludes it is due to expectations of the parents.

5. Family produces emotional stress in the members leading to conflicts within family.

6. Edmond Leach in his book 'A Runaway World' concludes that the members expect too much of each other.

7. David Cooper in his book 'Death of Family' considers family to be the one feeding children with ideas that perpetuate exploitation in society.

8. Family legitimizes the exploitation of the women.

9. Household work done by them goes unnoticed and family legitimizes sexual abuse.

10. Family legitimizes domestic violence as it is often ignored or even accepted.

11. Murray Strauss states Marriage provides hitting licence.

12. Family is used as neutralization device to justify deviant acts by saying he/she’s too young to understand all this.

13. Corruption is often justified as being done for the betterment of one's family.

14. It is argued family hampers creativity of individual when he submits his desires to family.

15. Family lacks privacy inhibiting growth of individualism causing rise in docile personalities.

16. Jordan Peterson cites the role of families in not being able to completely internalize the realities of the world and in turn making children vulnerable to harsh realities of the world, including BULLYING.
