@Regular__Indian RTI was a great achievement!!! Also private sector investment growth in organised retail, education, healthcare, power and telecom are also genuine achievement from UPA era
@dhume The real reason why India is failing to keep up with other Asian economies on per capita gdp terms is the "denominator effect" of more babies and younger population. And that is going to change quite rapidly in the coming decades
My 2 cents on the Jonathan Kuminga sign-and-trade. I will attach screen grabs from the ESPN article below for context:
1. Luka Doncic wheeling and dealing for the Lakers again. This feels like a fundamental shift from the LeBron James era in how the front office relates to its franchise cornerstone. Luka seems way more willing to help recruitment. He already did the heavy lifting pitching Deandre Ayton and Marcus Smart last summer. LuGM
2/ The Lakers give Kuminga the clearest runway to a starting spot amid a competitive situation. That could open the door for his camp to compromise on the deal. That said, agent Aaron Turner is known for being a tough negotiator who uses every lever available.
3/ Cleveland’s reported interest looks like classic negotiating leverage from Kuminga’s side. The Cavs are all-in on LeBron James right now. How do they realistically sign both LeBron and Kuminga while staying close to the second apron? Very hard. They’ll probably only pivot to JK if the LeBron reunion falls through.
4/ Lakers are offering a two-year $20 million deal with a player option in year two. A sign-and-trade would let LA retain his Bird rights and make a more competitive offer next season if he opts out. Kuminga likely wants long-term financial security instead of heading into unrestricted free agency for the third straight year.
5/ Hawks will want compensation (one or more of those available 2nd-round picks). To sweeten the offer for Kuminga, it may require a three-team sign-and-trade to make the cap and roster numbers work.
AI grows exponentially….humanities biggest challenges are overcome using it (health, education, elderly care, infrastructure etc)…but new environmental challenges (water, power, dirty mining etc) grow. Earth is unliveable but robots carry on. Humans exiled to Mars...possible?
@MinhazMerchant@yoursurajnaik It’s not Indian companies buying global companies but foreign owners dumping their shares to Indian investors through IPOs
