Open Letter from Hindu Mandirs and Hindu Civic Organizations Across Canada: In view of the planned protests tomorrow, April 05 2026, outside Triveni Mandir (Brampton) and Lakshmi Narayan Mandir (Surrey), 30+ organizations have jointly called for the safety and security of Hindu temples and devotees across Canada.

So-called “peaceful protests” targeted towards temples have not remained peaceful; they have led to harassment, intimidation, and violence against Hindu Canadians, devotees, and temple management. The last protest in Brampton resulted in Hindu children, women, and seniors being injured, with serious concerns raised about the handling of the situation, including police conduct.

The collective and unified call from all organizations is simple and fundamental:
1. Hindu Canadians must feel safe when accessing their place of worship.
2. Temples exist for peace, prayer, reflection, and well‑being, not as venues for political intimidation or fear.
3. No one should feel unsafe while exercising their right to worship.

We call on @PeelPolice and @SurreyPolice to ensure safe, intimidation‑free premises and streets, and uphold accountability so that all communities can exercise their basic democratic right.

A PRAYER FOR THE SOUL OF DIPU CHANDRA DAS

History remembers sacrifice. But today, the soil that was once liberated with Indian blood is being stained with the blood of innocent minorities.

In 1971, our Indian Armed Forces stood for the oppressed. Our brave soldiers didn’t just fight a war; they fought for the identity and dignity of millions of people of what is now called Bangladesh. Nearly 3,900 Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives and over 10,000 were injured to ensure the birth of Bangladesh. We gave our lives so that others could live in peace.

But today, “peace” is just a word; persecution is the reality. According to the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, 2,442 incidents of violence against minorities were documented between August 2024 and July 2025. Over 150 temples have been vandalized and desecrated. These are not just acts of unrest or random chaos; it is a deliberate, targeted strike at the heart of a community’s faith and its right to exist.

The pattern of targeting is clear and cruel - Last year, we saw the unjust jailing of the ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das and the brutal lynching of the Communist party leader Pradip Bhowmik. And now the horrific murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh. This young man was not just killed; he was subjected to a level of savagery that shames the 21st century. Reports confirm he was lynched in public by a frenzied mob, his body was then hanged from a tree, and he was set on fire. To witness such a demonic act in broad daylight is a sign of a complete collapse of humanity and the rule of law. My heart goes out to the soul of Dipu Das. I pray for his peace and offer my deepest condolences to his grieving family, who have had to endure a loss so gruesome it is beyond comprehension.

The demographic reality of the region is a chilling testament to this ongoing tragedy. In 1951, Hindus made up 22% of the population. Today, that number has plummeted to below 8%. This isn't just migration; it is a systematic persecution that the world chooses to ignore.

I call upon the Leadership of Bangladesh to move beyond mere words of condemnation and restore stability. You must ensure the safety of every Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian citizen. The perpetrators of the Mymensingh horror must face the ultimate justice to show that no mob is above the law. I also urge World Leaders and the international community @UNHumanRights @UN to open their eyes to the plight of minorities in Bangladesh. Selective silence is a betrayal of human rights.

The blood of our 1971 martyrs was shed for a land of peace, not a land of persecution. We cannot, and will not, remain silent.

For decades, Bollywood was dominated by leftists who used cinema for subversive means. Brahmins were shown as devious manipulators; Rajputs were shown as oppressive and brutal landlords or dacoits; Pandits were portrayed as slime balls; Hindu saints and shrines as dens of inequity and perversion; Hnduism and Hindu values and beliefs were openly abused, derided, debunked; Muslim thugs (remember Sher Khan of Zanjeer) was a noble criminal and great friend; Movies pushed sarkari propaganda and were anti-industry anti business full of socialistic drivel; rich were always evil and to be poor was honourable; All that was kosher. In fact bollywood biggies (many of them from Punjabi refugee families who were thrown out and escaped with nothing but the clothes they had) became a spokespersons and propagandists for Pakistan despite the terrorism, enmity, hostility and hatred that came to India from that country.

One movie Dhurandhar on Pakistani terrorists, and the entire Pakistani sleeper cell crowd in Indian media, civil society has gone apoplectic imagining that heavens will fall on them.

Unfortunately heavens wont fall on these people and they will continue to stay in India and defend terrorists and Pakistani terrorism, in part because they share the same religion. Incidentally, their own cousins who migrated to Pakistan are treated like shit by the Punjabi Muslim. But apno se gaali bhi dua hoti hai for these characters.

Ancient India, starting in Indus Valley's civilization, innovated the use of the beautiful Indigo dye on clothing, making colored clothes.

But to make Indigo stick, they used a chemical process where Cow Urine was used to ferment the Indigo to make it into the Leucoindigo form that sticks to the fabric. Great chemistry invention.

This Indigo method and tech was later borrowed by the west, like so much other Indian knowledge, and reached Rome who were trading with India and paid in gold for the Indigo.

When you travel to Greece and Rome, and see those beautiful wall and ceramic pigments that contain indigo‑derived blue hues, remember this - they were imported from India (or from intermediate trade hubs that sourced the dye from India).

But instead of cow urine, ancient Romans extensively used human urine in daily life and industries, valuing it as "liquid gold" for its ammonia content (from urea breakdown during fermentation).

Public collection vessels were placed in streets of Rome and public spaces, with emperor Vespasian even taxing urine sales - a practice so notable it inspired the phrase "money doesn't smell" after his son tiitus complained about the odor.

While Indians valued cow urine for its ammonia content providing cleaning, bleaching, and mordanting properties, Romans not having access to much cattle like India, used human urine for the same purposes.

Indian cattle forms the foundation of almost all of today's world's cattle breeds for dairy and meat. Brahman (Americas), Nelore (Brazil), Gyr (Brazil), Kankrej (Australia), Sahiwal (Australia, Kenya).

In 12th – 13th centuries , Zebu breeds from India are introduced in larger quantities to the Iberian Peninsula and southern Italy by Arab traders similar to Indian mathematics and astronomy.

Later the water buffalo too was introduced. And European cheese making takes a new turn. From sheep based cheeses, cow and buffalo milk cheeses start appearing in plenty. The current diversity of cheeses in Europe is a result of this 12th century change.

So when you enjoy a buffalo or cow's milk cheese in Europe looking at a beautiful Indigo stained glass or wall tiles, appreciating a Fibonacci or Leonardo's work, remember the Indian contributions for 3000 years.

This is how these anti-Hindu writers play their games. Anything that suits their anti-Hindu agenda becomes authentic sources; anything that doesn’t suit their anti-Hindu agenda is immediately stamped as fake and spurious!

It’s not going to work anymore. We are not living in a pre-social media era when these fake anti-Hindu narratives cannot be challenged and broken down.
