🇨🇭✨ Murat Yakin played for Switzerland from 1994-2004. ✅
As manager of Switzerland. Yakin guided them to the 2022 World Cup, EURO 2024 and 2026 World Cup.
Now, Yakin has put Switzerland in the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time in 72 YEARS. Incredible.
🚨🇧🇪 Amadou Onana has suffered ACL rupture and will be out for 7-8 months.
World Cup and start of the season over for Belgium and Aston Villa midfielder, as @TheAthleticFC report.
Triste
This is always the problem. He diminishes everything he is not number one or he cannot achieve.
Zero sportsmanship.
When he was winning BDOR, he never imagined another person would win more than him, all of a sudden, it became an award that has no value.
Now, Euros is at par with the World Cup, just because you can’t win it.
Always talking down on things he can’t achieve, not nice at all.
As I reflect on an episode preceding the 2024 NBA Annual General Conference, my convictions remain unchanged. I believed then, and I still believe now, in the principle that informed my response. What time and experience have reinforced, however, is that leadership is measured not only by the strength of one’s convictions but also by the wisdom with which those convictions are communicated. It is the refinement that comes with experience.
I have always believed that leadership is a continuous discipline of learning, reflection, and growth. It requires the confidence to examine the past honestly not to relitigate it, but to draw from it the wisdom required to serve more effectively. The leaders who inspire confidence are not those who claim infallibility. They are those whose judgment continues to mature without compromising the values that define them.
As I often say, “The rear-view mirror is smaller than the windscreen for a reason.” We look back only long enough to learn the lessons that prepare us for the road ahead.
My focus remains the future: serving the Nigerian Bar with courage, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to a Bolder Bar that works better for every lawyer.

0 - Since the introduction of yellow and red cards at the 1970 edition, no player has ever received a red card and gone on to play in his team's next match at the FIFA World Cup.
Unprecedented.
