I do think that a co-worker relationship is problematic as well. Favoritism begins to creep in & perceived bias can alienate other team members causing issues with team dynamics.

Also, what happens when one's partner gets promoted? It goes to create that conflict of interest

I personally don't care about co-workers having sex or dating. If you have a 9-5 it means that most of your life is spent around your co-workers and it would be unreasonable to say that you cannot be involved with them. The line for me is people who have power over others and can fire them or significantly affect their jobs. If you are a boss, you should not be trying to date or have sex with subordinates, whether they "consent" or not. The bar for sexual relations where someone has power and control over another has to be higher than mere consent.

I'm saying all of this to say that intrinsic dignity is what matters most. You aren't an asset, a luxury good, or a market item. You're a human being. We shouldn't earn our right to be respected or treated well by hitting a set of societal metric.
