FED EXPECTED TO HOLD RATES AS WALL STREET WATCHES HAWKISH SIGNALS

The Federal Reserve is widely expected to leave interest rates unchanged at 3.75%–4.00%, with markets focused on potential dissent and changes to the FOMC statement.

Analysts anticipate two or three officials could favor a rate hike, including Beth Hammack and Lorie Logan, with Neel Kashkari or Christopher Waller also possible.

Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley and UBS expect possible revisions to language emphasizing a timelier return to the 2% inflation target.
