After World War II, the world made a promise: even in war, there are limits we must never cross. That promise became the Geneva Conventions, a universal commitment to protect civilians, the wounded, prisoners of war and humanitarian workers, among others.

Today, with over 130 armed conflicts worldwide, twice as many as 15 years ago, these rules are under immense pressure. Over 110 countries have joined the Global Initiative on international humanitarian law to strengthen commitment to the rules that limit suffering in war.

The Geneva Conventions do not protect the powerful. They protect people caught in war. And upholding them is the responsibility of every country on Earth.

Not local yet business owners tries very hard to be accredited to say they have quality comparable to other countries in similar industries - engineering firms should have ISO standards!

We have to see the proceedings, listen to the line of questioning, and hear the responses of the people being investigated and participate in the whole process as a sign of transparency!

When the ICI lacks transparency, the resulting outcome—even if accurate—is inevitably undermined by conspiracy theories that are more inclined to benefit the powerful than the populace.

@DrTonyLeachon Even if he resigned, the ICI should include him in the investigation giving us a flow chart of how corrupt the system is top down. The contracts are the implementers but the government officials are the enablers and we, the people suffer 🤬
