If you are a private sector employee investing in stock markets, the current Govt. has been the worst by far.
And if you are in the higher income bracket, then you are royally screwed.
Apart from the draconian STT + capital gains increase, We have GST on everything, a new cess and surcharge everyday to fund the election freebies.
Plus if you want to travel abroad, there are lot of restrictions. If you want to buy a house, the TDS payment is a nightmare.
Plus you if you earn more, expect a scrutiny notice from IT department !!
it's a sin to become rich and successful in this country.
I have some questions if anyone can make sense of it..
1) Doesn't the tax payer already fund UPI? Isn't tax money meant for such expenses only? Also isn't this leading to higher GST collections coz these payments can be tracked.
2) Doesn't UPI providing companies which have our money earn interest while the money is kept there without having to pay out any interest?
3) 1000cr is such a burden to bear but 3-5L in freebies isn't?
4) Don't these companies already sells our data and earn money from that too?
4) Why is the max transaction cost capped much higher than NEFT/RTGS or next will we soon increase that also in the name of equality?
If we Hindus can't make this happen now:
#FreeChinmoyKrishnaDas
Then Bangladesh will make sure Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu dies in jail.
And we all will be tweeting again in few months. Shame on all of us. What is the use of foreign diplomacy, when a Hindu mother on deathbed could not see her monk son for a last time? Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu just demanded 8 basic points for the Hindu's of Bangladesh. And we Hindus forgot him & let him rot for almost last 2 year's. Shame on all of us as Hindu's
#FreeChinmoyKrishnaDas@PMOIndia@myogiadityanath
We always talk about Hindu rights and our revered saints..
Propagating message of Shri Krishna. Why are we allowing these Bangladeshi criminals to do all this. Kindly warn them or teach them a lesson
Eight Months Later
It was a Tuesday in October when it happened again.
Same setup. A sold call. A sudden rally. A loss crossing the limit. His hand on the mouse.
And this time, Vikram didn't even pause.
It came back last time. It'll come back again.
He added more. He borrowed from a friend. He took a personal loan against his salary. He broke the FD again.
This time, the market didn't fall in the last five minutes.
It went up another 200 points.
By Friday, Vikram had lost ₹38 lakh.
His father's retirement fund. His son's school money. A loan he'd be paying for four years. And the one thing that had no number on it: the right to be believed by the people who loved him.
He made the call to Papa himself this time. There was no "bank ki galti" to hide behind.
His father listened to the whole thing without saying a word.
Then he said only one sentence, and Vikram says he still hears it every time he opens a trading terminal:
"Pichhli baar bhi yahi hua tha na?"
"The same thing happened last time too, didn't it?"
His father had known all along.
The Lesson
Here's what Vikram says now, three years later, trading small again with a new sticky note on his screen:
"People think my worst day was the day I lost ₹38 lakh. It wasn't. My worst day was the day I made ₹41,000. That was the day the market paid me to break my own rule. And I learned the wrong lesson so well that it cost me everything eight months later."
A losing trade taken with discipline is a good trade. A winning trade taken by breaking your rules is a bad trade that hasn't sent you the bill yet.
The market doesn't just punish bad behaviour. Sometimes it rewards it first. That's what makes it so dangerous. A loss teaches you fast. A lucky win teaches you slowly, quietly, and wrongly, until one day the lesson collects its fee all at once.
What this means for your own trading:
Judge your process, not your P&L. At the end of each day, ask "Did I follow my rules?" before you ask "Did I make money?" A green day where you broke your stop loss should be written in your journal as a red day.
The small loss is the cheapest loss you will ever get. Vikram's ₹25,000 loss on Monday was the best deal the market ever offered him. Every hour he refused it, the price went up.
Never average a losing position to avoid admitting you're wrong. Adding to a loser isn't strategy. It's ego buying more time.
Never trade with money you'd have to lie about. The moment you hide a trade from your family, you're no longer managing risk. You're managing a secret. And secrets make terrible trading decisions.
Be most suspicious of the trades that worked when they shouldn't have. Those are the ones quietly rewriting your rules.
Vikram's new sticky note doesn't say anything about maximum loss.
It says just this:
"It came back last time. That's exactly why you should exit."
Why is government anti equity and anti Indian investors. This government has displayed their clear inclination for banks. First they killed debt fund markets by taxing the same as per slab rate. Then now they encouraged all NRI with FCNR deposit and that too tax free. With leverage they can earn a CAGR in double digits and all tax free.
For Indian investors, no relief for taxation or STT. Although the same was done to save INR, but NRI took full advantage. Banks are flushed with funds.
Taxing an already tax paid income like Dividend is another level.
This bias against Indian equity investors is uncalled for

@Apurva1406 Last month we had devastating flood in Assam of the similar magnitude. If I am not wrong, Assam is inside the country. Have you done the same thing back then?
