Bluewater financial had an especially educational presentation for me as a real estate major. I hope to work in the commercial real estate industry. Accommodating clients takes a unique skillset and meeting the fiduciary duty is a key part of client satisfaction. #RHUB290

I especially admire the group that presented today. Their preparation was evident. The presentation served as a great way to learn how I want to turn my report into an effective presentation. I was also able to learn new things about poaching that I wasn’t privy to. #RHUB290

The psychological aspect of a presentation David Phillips spoke about was something I thought was a critical to keep in mind when putting together a power point. The attention-span of an audience is short and a power-point can be counterproductive when considering this. #RHUB290

@SachinP67735417 Sachin, before class on Tuesday I was under the impression that a business report communicated something about a companies financial status, and therefore the audience would be shareholders or investors like you mentioned. A business report though can have many functions.#RHUB290

@Jason_hoang03 Great point. I remember that was mentioned on Tuesday as a way to be more effective when writing. Even though there are a variety of business reports such as analytical or informative, it seems if the audiences would all have a high level of professional competence. #RHUB290

After I initially made comparisons between business reports and essays, my thoughts have changed. Although the two are somewhat comparable, business reports are structured and serve a different purpose than writing an essay does. #RHUB290

It seems like across all business report writing’s, important issues within the business are addressed. Report writing is different from business writings we have looked at in the past such as emails and letters, report writing is almost like writing an essay. #RHUB290

Group work can always be a challenge, but our group has been willing to take on each challenge we have faced, and I’ve learned alot because of it. The process hasn’t been easy, but we’ve managed to build off each other’s strengths in order to put our best foot forward. #RHUB290

@Hamzaslattt09 Hey Hamza. I think Derek Thompsons article shows how many ways there is to attack an advertisement. You can market to a demographic familiar with your business or product or market to an audience that is unfamiliar. Either way it’s essential to have a cohesive strategy.#RHUB290

A difficult part of developing a cohesive marketing strategy for me is being creative in the advertisement process, especially for our investment business. Identifying the target audience has been much easier which is an essential part of generating traffic from an ad. #RHUB290

Familiarity being something that positively affects the performance of a business is something that makes sense, but it also makes sense that ads in which display things that are unfamiliar to consumers can perform just as well. Unfamiliar ads peak my interest more. #RHUB290

Our group is aiming to create a website that answer’s the 5 Ws we talked about in class. This proves to be an effective way to establish how we can be beneficial to potential clients and maintain the market we attract to the website as clients. #RHUB290

Griffith and Wilson discuss that when creating a website you could hire someone to help. I don’t think I’ll hire anybody but I plan to reach out to people with a more creative skill set than myself or watch tutorials to learn new things I can do myself in the future. #RHUB290
