The same state of Alabama which just executed Kenneth Smith via nitrogen gas asphyxiation would like you to know that frozen embryos are “children” because as per the Bible, human life cannot be destroyed without incurring the wrath of a Holy God.
This is a truly wonderful story from Bruce @springsteen and I hope you listen to the end of it.

German Sea Captain Pia Klemp is facing up to 20 years in jail for rescuing nearly 1000 migrants from drowning.
If you believe in hope over hate and support Pia Klemp give this a retweet.
It is disgusting that anyone would dare try throw her in jail.
On World Refugee Day, I'm sharing my humble journey from seeking safety to becoming a doctor:
. 1999 - forced to leave family in Afghanistan to seek safety in UK aged 15 having lived childhood in war and camps
. 2001 - started college (A-levels) with not much formal education or command of English
. 2003 - got admitted to study medicine at @Cambridge_Uni despite many discouraging, saying I wasn't white and not educated enough
. 2006 - graduated from Cambridge and finished studies at Harvard and Imperial despite battling PTSD and loneliness
. 2010 - qualified as a doctor, and have since been proudly serving people in the NHS and 🌎 as a doctor.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt on this journey, it’s this - refugees are not victims. We are survivors, dreamers, contributors. The bravery of all those who seek safety should be celebrated.
"Good evening, Pasadena!"
On this day in 1988, Depeche Mode played the 101st show of the “Music For The Masses Tour” which took place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

While @BorisJohnson lied and partied..
THIS WAS MY LAST CONTACT WITH MY DAD.
I Followed the rules. We couldn't even have a proper funeral.
I'll never forgive or forget what this government did.
Rest in peace dad.

On 5 June 2016, just 3 weeks before the #EUreferendum, former Prime Minister, Sir John Major, gave a #Brexit warning that the Leave campaign was “fundamentally dishonest” and “verging on the squalid.” Watch the 10-minute video on YouTube to find out why: https://t.co/m6kOf7z5GD
Respect for human rights around the world is deteriorating. Our research indicates more than half of the states we monitored used torture or other ill-treatment.
Our annual report paints a disturbing picture of the global state of human rights today: https://t.co/J0vwlpVqdE
