If you’re allergic to “templates” and “prompt packs,” same here 😒 This article explains why they fail (even when you’re good at your job), and what I believe actually fixes it: https://t.co/HKCJXgh1nI
You’re not burning out because of AI. You’re burning out because every “can you just…?” becomes unpaid, unbounded work. A short piece for SMMs who want boundaries and good work 👉 https://t.co/3oaeQBIiLD #socialmediamanager#marketingchaos
Word of the year inside content rooms wasn’t “growth.” It was some mix of “That’s AI, right?” and “Where’s that button now?”
I pulled together what I’m seeing across teams, feeds and reports into one article — and why “figure it out” is not a strategy 👉

I think few people really understand how scarce truly elite talent is.
And it’s not just elite of elite jobs,
But elite of mid-level jobs as well.
Every level and every role has elite competition for the job to be done.
There are too many B and C players holding A-player positions to compete over a long timeframe against motivated regimes who have desire to beat America.
Everyone is replaceable.
There is no 9-5 for winning teams.
There is no “work life balance” for winning teams.
There is no “fair” for winning teams.
The winners don’t complain.
You’re playing a game that other people are training harder to win.
It’s time to look in the mirror and be real. Are you actually adding value, or are you just playing at being a big boy?
Get real. Someone in the world is doing their best to take your position. It’s your job to not let them take it by being better.
Stop complaining.
What a weekend! Ivan Ocampo was also on the move, jetting off to The Atlantic City Cigar Social where the Good Time Tricycle crew put together a great event at the Oscar E. McClinton Waterfront Park.
It was great catching up with our friends from @FerioTegoCigars , @LaAuroraCigars , and @AFuenteCigars . And someone was doing a pretty spot-on impression of @terencereilly82 from @AganorsaLeaf , but we’re not naming names 😏
The event had amazing food—think top-notch charcuterie, pasta, and oysters (Ivan definitely couldn’t get enough of those!). The entertainment? A burlesque show with @lelulenore and @evamystique that had everyone buzzing.
We’ll see you all again next year for another great time in Atlantic City!

The final day of a cigar industry trade show always hits with mixed feelings. On the one hand, you know that you’ll get a break from the frantic pace soon but being around so many great friends and colleagues has an energizing effect on our team. Thanks to all who worked their tails off to make InterTabac happen.
To kick off day 3, we stopped in to have @ovcigars tell us about the Kinich, a new brand available worldwide that is drenched in Mayan symbolism. Next, we met up with @VilligerCigars' Mirko one more time to get the lowdown on the Villiger Celebration, a limited-edition homage to Mr. Heinrich Villiger produced in a beautiful perfecto shape.
We spent time at the @padroncigars booth catching up with the younger generation over outstanding cigars that shall remain nameless to protect these guys from the older generation’s wrath 🤪😅
The @MyFatherCigars crew wished Jamy a happy birthday at their booth with Champagne, whisky, and the Don Pepín Vintage. It was a recurring theme throughout the day with thoughtful gifts from @drewestatecigar ’s Pedro Gomez and Oscar Valladares’ Deysy Suarez 🥳
After lunch, Manny Iriarte showed off his new OpusX Society cigar that is almost ready for release worldwide. Carlos Llaca-Toraño introduced us to the new @gurkhacigars Kingdom, a limited-edition perfecto that comes in a stunning, numbered box. @joyacigars ’ Christian Lanzas told us about one of the most talked-about releases at the show, the Spanish-market exclusive, Joya de Nicaragua Pata Negra. More than a single release, it is a platform for special editions of their most coveted lines.
These were just some of the highlights from day 3 but there was so much more. Let us know what cigar from these releases you’d like to get your hands on first 💨
Thanks to the manufacturers, distributors, and retailers who shared their time and passion for cigars with us and a special thanks to our friends at Villiger Cigars 🙌

Day 2 of InterTabac was loaded with more great smokes but better yet, a ton of great interviews with some of the world’s best cigar makers 👏💨
We hit up the @VilligerCigars booth again where we were introduced to the Villiger de Nicaragua Edicion Limitada by our friend Mirko Lorenzini.
We also smoked a limited edition from @aladinocigars that is coming to the US very soon and although it is being held up by Track & Trace registrations, will make its way to Europe in the near term.
@RockyPatelCigar shared some fascinating stories about his early years of trying to sell his cigars in Europe—don’t miss that segment when we post it in the coming days.
We heard from Jorge Michael of @casacarrillo_do EPC about the @EPCarrillo Encore Unico I, a European exclusive version of the award-winning Encore.
And last but never least, our friends Billy & Gus Fakih of @artesanotobacco shared their insights on how well their cigars are being welcomed by European smokers.
The day was capped off with the Vandermarliere Family Cigar Dinner, an annual tradition that starts with dinner and invariably ends with a massive dance party 🕺💃🏻

Boom! And just like that #InterTabac 2024 🇩🇪 was underway and there was much to see and do!
As is our custom, we made @drewestatecigar our first stop at the show and checked out the badass new Undercrown 10th Flying Pig, we may or may not have left with a couple of those European market exclusives!
We also noticed the Blackened by Drew Estate gaining a presence in Europe as well.
Next we hit @AganorsaLeaf where we had a chance to fire up the Aganorsa Supreme Leaf international exclusive, we love seeing the Supreme Leaf line making its way to the international market.
Trade shows like InterTabac offer us an opportunity to catch up with some of our best friends in the industry, it feels like a reunion every year 🙌
We made it to the Vandermarliere Family of Cigars/@OlivaCigar booth in time to see the unveiling of their gorgeous, limited edition humidor honoring Las Mesitas, Oliva’s tobacco processing facility in Nicaragua. Our very own Erik Calviño moderated a panel discussion diving deep into the details of Europe’s Track & Trace regulation 👀
Afterwards, we checked out the @VilligerCigars 1888 Nicaragua and afterwards dropped in on @AJFcigars to enjoy the Dias de Gloria Brazil, not because it’s new but because we dig that smoke.
We had a Nick Melillo sighting at InterTabac, he’s a busy man but found some time to show us how to pose for photos in a way that makes you look like you’ve lost 10 pounds.
Thankfully he also shared some smokes with us, the Aksum is an awesome smoke but he saved something special for Jamy, she got the limited edition Senetjer, an outstanding smoke.
We capped off the day with another visit to the Vandermarliere Family of Cigars/Oliva booth to see which choreographed dance they’d cooked up this year, it was Europapa themed.
Stay tuned to our coverage of day 2 as we’ll go deeper into the show! 🔥

Is Your Phone Spying on You? The Truth Revealed! 🕵️♂️📱
Ever had that eerie feeling your devices are listening in? You're not alone.
I recently dove deep into this digital privacy rabbit hole, and here's what I uncovered:
• While your phone isn't constantly recording you, it IS collecting a ton of data.
• Apps and services use sophisticated algorithms to predict your interests and behaviors.
• Voice assistants only activate on specific wake words, but may occasionally misfire.
• Your online activity leaves a much bigger digital footprint than you might realize.
The reality? It's less about active eavesdropping and more about incredibly smart data analysis. But that doesn't make it any less concerning for privacy advocates.
As AI and data collection evolve, staying informed about digital privacy is crucial for both individuals and businesses. What are your thoughts on balancing convenience with data protection?
