I asked Senator Thom Tillis about his vote against the Save America act and whether it has anything to do with the money he’s receiving from industries who profit off of cheap illegal labor.
He was VERY mad about the question.
We deserve better than these America Last losers!
BlackRock has a scholarship program specifically for “diverse students.”
Starbucks has training programs specifically for employees who are “bipoc.”
This isn’t “diversity.” It is discrimination.
@ltsheavy@Brightessan@rawsalerts Doesn't take some genius to figure out that this was an illegal. My only question is why didn't the illegal self deport already?
You are welcome to provide proof that the illegal was not just your standard illegal.
I am smarter than you. Link your SAT scores proof to dispute.
Let this sink in: We pay the executive director of the Project Connect Austin Transit Partnership 25% more than we pay the AISD Superintendent. https://t.co/0JdbeoBq9o
Austin needs no help enhancing itself. People live here because there’s a massive fuck-off river flowing through the middle of the city with majestic bats that come out at dusk and beautiful green rolling hills everywhere, not because we spend $5m on a DEI department or a $385k sculpture at our new homeless navigation center. Protect the natural beauty of the area, give us a police force, and we can get by on $1B budget.
The big thing here is that no one with any common sense is going to buy in Austin, Texas.
The housing market in Austin has just begun its crash.
Why buy cheap affordable homes if the property taxes are ridiculous?
The reaction to Austin’s 8% tax increase on Reddit is surprisingly VERY negative.
I think they made a pretty big blunder politically rolling it out this way. Should have presented a 0% increase budget with big cuts and then persuaded us to raise taxes to avoid the cuts.
