Men who recover from #Ebola should avoid sex for at least 6 months or use condoms consistently and correctly.
This is because the virus can stay in semen even after recovery.

Stigma and misinformation drive people away from care and undermine outbreak response.
The AIDS response taught us this.
Actively addressing both must be central to the Ebola response.
The registration of candidates for the 2026 national examinations is currently underway for the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
Normal registration has been extended to 30th June 2026 to accommodate newly accredited examination centres.
Late registration will commence on 1st July 2026 and close on 31st July 2026. This will attract a surcharge of:
- 100% for PLE candidates
- 50% for UCE and UACE candidates
There will be no further registration of candidates after 31st July 2026.
Examination centres are urged to complete the registration process early within the stipulated period to avoid the congestion that usually occurs towards the deadline.
