@Money23Green You did the right thing bro. It was a fastbreak, he flopped and held your legs, it seemed pre-meditated from his side. Anyone who says it’s too much haven’t played enough games with baiters. I’d have done the same. Cuz you also gotta ensure this doesn’t repeat.
@NehaP04215788@iimk_backwaters I agree with the part acknowledging the urgent carbon problem that the world is confronted with, and also with the fact that what we save today is what our future generation would get to use tomorrow.
Sustainability is indeed non-negotiable.

@divyanshu2722@iimk_backwaters@backwatersiimk Firstly, we don't sell processed beverages, but bottled water.
Secondly, all you're saying is tap water is better than processed beverages. Okay, but who is arguing against that?
My tweet simply draws the Life Cycle Assessment of bottled water.

@shahdeep682 The company isn't 'supplying' over 50 Mn cases, but has the 'capacity' to do so. There is a difference. And it also questions '$0.6 per case' math.
Also, given the new business reality, don't you feel you're underestimating recoverability?
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@shahdeep682@iimk_backwaters Factually, water that gets filled inside the bottle isn't the only water used in production. In fact, ancillary processes consume a significant portion too.
So yes, bottled water uses lesser water overall than other processed beverages. (Refer LCA)

@KarwatkarAayush@iimk_backwaters Isn't expecting the government to forego their tax revenue so that one could "invest" the same might be excessively optimistic? Especially for a regime displaying such apprehensiveness?
Aren't realistic proposals usually the best ones?

@Samrath03034577@iimk_backwaters While the thread makes some valid points, I am curious what are you referring to when you say "false news"?
There hasn't been a single instance of any false news in this entire instance.
A CEO should avoid throwing around such terms nonchalantly.
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@divyanshu2722@backwatersiimk While I appreciate the zeal, calling critics/environmentalists "crazy", even if off-handedly, might be impetuous, especially given that they are significant stakeholders.
Instead, a company's CEO should lend them an ear and welcome discussions.
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@byasdeV1 @iimk_backwaters Environmentalists claimed that the campaign failed to provide a comprehensive description of how carbon footprint was calculated and what reduction measures were planned for the future.
Accusing?
Seems they are just curious & seeking transparency.

@ArunimaPokhriy1@iimk_backwaters The article makes a strong case for the export tax to be "void-ab-initio" if the interpretation is sound.
However, I am not sure if it applies without a clause to 'licensed' exporters with a claim on natural resources (Like Devprayag).
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@VishalDoshi8961@iimk_backwaters Government isn't really taxing water per se, but just your product offering as a whole. While the sentiment is appreciable, it is factually incorrect.
Secondly, your claim regarding far-reaching consequences warrants a bit more substantiation.
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@qriuslearner @iimk_backwaters Would neglecting someone's viewpoint warrant 40% of the thread being devoted to their concerns? (2/5, 5/5)
While often someone fails to consult us for taxation or calls our efforts 'greenwashing', we always look past it and welcome discussions.
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@Chirag72680133 @iimk_backwaters It might surprise you but there is an inquiry initiated by Uttaranchal Govt against Devprayag (1st Page, "Background"). As an ethical organization committed to corporate governance best-practices, pardon me if I interpret that as an accusation.
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@adhruva2002@iimk_backwaters I didn't agree to any such thing in my entire thread. If you're referring to Nestle Waters' peer-reviewed LCA (2/5) and its finding, you must have noticed the finding to be a generic one and not specific to Devprayag. My phrasing was crystal clear.
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@I_Suraj_S@iimk_backwaters Claiming that consumers are the most affected party might be a stretch. In an economy like ours, there is no dearth of replacers.
Also, calling something a "basic human right" and then charging money for it negates your supposed magnanimity.
@iimk_backwaters#Backwaters21
@qriuslearner @iimk_backwaters Sacking few employees couldn't have covered the lost profits of $30 Mn. Even the word "partially" doesn't cover that tiny fraction. So, the only plausible reason must have been to send a message. Says a lot about "giving more than taking" (your 4/5)
