Open Letter
To the President of the Russian Federation
From the President of Ukraine
When you came to power in Russia more than 26 years ago, many people in Ukraine viewed you positively. That is how it was. But that is now in the past.
Now, the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians view it positively that our long-range drones paid a visit to the opening of your forum in St. Petersburg, covering a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers. As you know very well, that distance is not the limit of our capabilities.
Oleksandra Oliynykova pulls out her phone mid-press conference at Roland Garros and shows photos of Diana Shnaider playing in the Gazprom tournament, ‘I think it's the same as playing in Nazi Germany in front of Gestapo officers in the tournament organized by a company which built Auschwitz’
"What's serious here is the fact that this match is going to happen. Diana Shnaider is a person who participated in a Gazprom tournament.
If you want to see. This is her in the picture at the Gazprom tournament.
The Gazprom tournament is a company that's financing the war crimes. Playing in a tournament which is financing the camps for kids, I think it's the same as playing in Nazi Germany in front of Gestapo officers in the tournament organized by a company which built Auschwitz. There's no difference to me.
The thing is, everyone is silent about what this person did. She also put likes on the publications of Russian propagandists.
Here are some screenshots. I can send it to you later if you want to this. I'm someone who is suffering just by being at home. My home is being attacked by Gazprom money. They are paying for this, for the drones which are attacking my city.
And tomorrow people will make a show of this. So is it really important who will hit a harder forehand tomorrow or the fact that we're ignoring things like this here."
They face each other next in the 3rd round of Roland Garros.

M113 survived nine FPV drone strikes and still completed its mission to evacuate wounded Ukrainian soldiers from the battlefield. The evacuation was carried out by Lyut Brigade in the area of Kostiantynivka.
1 / Zelensky's letter to President Trump and to Congress asking for urgent supply of Patriot interceptors (see the rest ofbthe letter in the following tweet)
Absolutely unacceptable. This is what's left of our @WFP warehouse after a missile strike in Dnipro, Ukraine—and the remaining food stocks for 130K people on the frontlines of war and hunger.
These deliberate attacks MUST end. Aid workers and humanitarian assets are #NotATarget.
Before people think this Trump surrender in Iran is a one off, remember: Trump negotiated the deal with the Taliban that lead to our shameful withdrawal.
To recap: we wounded our relationships with NATO, caused major global economic damage, killed the concept of free navigation of the seas (a defining US objective for centuries), murdered a bunch of schoolgirls, and burnt through 50%+ of our interceptors. All for a worse JCPOA.
People keep tagging me in this, so I will share some thoughts.
1. Props to this guy. Working that high up on something that can kill you is a new level of badass.
2. Protective equipment: there is a point where there is negative returns. Some folks asked about a bombsuit. Absolutely not. Wearing that thing in a cherry picker is a recipe for disaster.
3. This is the future of warfare. Ukraine has been doing it for years and everyone should be taking notes, regardless of what your job in the military is.

We try to avoid statements but there are limits.
After analyzing thousands of videos over more than four years, we feel we have earned the right to speak plainly: Russia is committing war crimes repeatedly and systematically and they are getting worse.
The longer the West fails to respond decisively, the more these crimes continue. This inaction also sends a dangerous signal to other authoritarian regimes, suggesting that international law can be violated with little consequence. As a result, the boundaries of international law are becoming increasingly weak and difficult to enforce.
The last few days have once again shown that the Russian regime is a terrorist regime that has little regard for humanitarian law:
(1)
After Ukraine agreed to a Russian 3-day ceasefire proposal, for the Russian commemoration of the end of World War II and its victory over Nazi Germany, Russia launched one of the most severe attacks on Kyiv since the beginning of the war, resulting in multiple civilian casualties.
This stands in stark contrast to Russia’s public rhetoric about peace and historical memory.
(2)
It is not enough that Russia is deliberately targeting civilians in Kherson, also known as the “human safari”, it has now also started attacking clearly marked UN vehicles, which would represent another serious violation of international law. Attempts to hide or destroy evidence only make these actions more alarming. And its not the first time they try to hide or manipulate evidence.
Western leaders, especially the Trump administration, should wake up instead of being so easily manipulated by the Russian regime.

One off the biggest mistakes of the Biden Administration…a failure to recognize that helping Ukraine defeat Russia was achievable and in America‘s strategic interest.
USAID was less than one percent of the federal budget and was the greatest humanitarian organization on earth in terms of delivery and efficiency. It was also our best soft power projection and provided thousands of jobs in the private sector. Schmitt is just a failure.
NASA wasn’t “closed” before Trump. The US doesn’t pay NATO anywhere close to “trillions of dollars” or “hundreds of billions of dollars a year.” Trump hasn’t built anywhere close to “over 1,000 miles of wall.” Trump hasn’t “ended eight wars.” It’s not true that “nobody” else has ended a war. Trump didn’t achieve “no tax on Social Security.” Ruth Bader Ginsburg died weeks before a presidential election, not right after one. Senator Thom Tillis is still a senator.
And more. Quick fact check of some of Trump’s many false claims on Fox this morning:

Battlefield Update: March 31 — April 11.
We did a review of the frontline situation. In general, the Russian army conducted a couple of attacks with the help of ATVs at the same time in different directions. Didn't manage to succeed.
But what is crucial - the Russian army did a regrouping of their forces and changed the priorities (in some cases for the first time since the beginning of the war).

On bashing the French and the British…a kind “Go pound sand” to the Fox News crowd who seems to have found their new talking point…so a quick note right here… that in my old world, both countries have been with us time and again. Actual professionals who have been in conflict-not DC creatures who were press secretaries like Ari-know the real deal. For example -the French military provided critical assistance to US SOF during a deadly ambush in Niger in 2017. Saved lives. In extremis. Huge appreciation from the US IC and SOF world. We know when friends come thru. Overall French CT efforts in Africa-who had the lead over us for many years- also helped save US lives. And don’t forget 90 French military were KIA in Afghanistan. That’s a pretty solid ally, when we were in a pinch. Next-US and British forces and intel r tied at the hip, but let’s focus in Afghanistan and Iraq. With 600 plus British KIA in both conflicts. 600 plus. This is all real sacrifice. British intel also on daily basis helps us wrap up terrorist networks, stop proliferation of WMD, better u detest and Russia, Iran, N Korea, and China, so many other massive value added they provide. A superb ally. Essential even. Finally, as Jonah notes, Trump is totally responsible for poisoning the alliance. European reluctance to assist is largely because Trump is so toxic it is politically impossible for other democracies-whose citizens loathe Trump to the core-to do anything other than give us the finger. So all said, as a former ntl security professional who got my hands dirty in our global escapades alongside these allies, I say thank u to them. Particularly!! the British and the French. Have a lovely day.
🇺🇸 In Dec 2025, the US revealed the new Government-to-Government Only List: all their most sensitive military systems only available for export via the Foreign Military Sales Program. Reforming this list has long been desired by US customers. Here it is, from A to Z:
