Can Andy Burnham get into Downing Street? Not without the help of a policeman it would seem...

INSTEAD OF WATCHING AN HOUR OF NETFLIX TONIGHT.
This 1 hour Stanford lecture by Joel Peterson will teach you more about negotiation and getting what you want than most people learn in years.
Bookmark it and give it an hour, no matter what.
When the Defence Secretary quits because he thinks the Prime Minister is making the country less safe, how can Starmer possibly survive?
His govt is collapsing before our eyes. He should resign.
This is glorious. Robert Kenyon, Reform's candidate for Makerfield, effortlessly and politely exposed the Green candidates utter stupidity on BBCQT.
She attacked him for DARING to suggest that immigration has an impact on housing, but then she obviously has to admit it does. 😂
DISGRACE: Foreign men with multiple wives are milking British taxpayers for EXTRA cash on every wife AND Starmer’s Labour just INCREASED it! 🤬
Katie Lam has exposed the scandal: each additional wife gets an extra £119.50 a week in pension allowance. Now this government is hiking it by nearly 5% to £125+.
Hard-working Brits are grafting like c*nts, paying taxes through the nose, just so we can subsidise polygamous marriages that are ILLEGAL in Britain!
This is a total betrayal. Polygamy has been banned here since 1604. We should NOT be making special allowances for imported cultural practices and handing out our money like sweets.
Ban it NOW. No more extra wives, no more extra benefits. Stop this sh*t immediately!
A farmer dies in April 2026.
His son inherits the farm. The farm has been in the family since 1847.
The farm consists of: 300 acres of grazing pasture, a farmhouse built in 1892, a barn, a milking parlour, two tractors of varying ages, a Land Rover that runs about 70% of the time, and a herd of 180 Hereford-cross cattle.
On paper, the farm is worth approximately £3.2 million. This is because land near him has been bought recently by a London hedge fund looking for carbon credits, which has dragged the comparable value of every field within forty miles upward to a number nobody local can justify.
In cash, the farm produces a profit of about £28,000 a year in a good year. In a bad year it loses money. The son also works as a fencing contractor three days a week to keep the operation viable.
The inheritance tax bill on a £3.2 million estate, even at the reduced 20% rate, comes to approximately £140,000 after the increased threshold is applied. The son does not have £140,000. The son has never had £140,000. The son has £4,200 in his current account and an overdraft.
The son sells 60 acres to a developer to pay the tax. The developer puts solar panels on the 60 acres. The remaining herd cannot be sustained on the reduced land. The herd is sold. The barn becomes a holiday let.
A different family eats Brazilian beef this Christmas without knowing why the price went up.
The Treasury collects £140,000.
The land never produces British food again.
Reform 40%. Restore 7%. Burnham 43%. The Sunday Times poll for Survation at Makerfield shows the split right will bring in our most Lefty Prime Minister ever.
Grateful if Nigel Farage and Rupert Lowe would put down their swords and pick up the phone.
@RachelReevesMP@RupertLowe10@Nigel_Farage@Keir_Starmer@bbclaurak Rachel Reeves, I planned carefully for retirement.
A North Norfolk holiday-let barn was meant to provide income, pay tax, employ cleaners, use local trades and support a holiday letting business.
On an example £1,000 booking, after the £180 commission, £150 cleaning and laundry costs, £50 electricity, £40 water and £40 council tax, only £540 remains before maintenance and repairs. After 25% corporation tax, that falls to £405. If the remaining income is then taxed at 40%, the owner is left with just £243 from the original £1,000 booking.
Remember, this is before allowing for any maintenance, repairs, insurance or mortgage costs. And the electrical PAT testing last year was needed. Now that company will receive no further income.
It is becoming impossible for a small Limited company to earn money.
How coffee shops, pubs, guesthouses and other small businesses survive with staff, rent, tax, regulation, insurance and rising costs is beyond me.
Make small enterprise pointless and people stop doing it.
Then government gets no tax.
Cleaners get no work.
Agents get no commission.
Local trades lose jobs.
That is not growth.
'My spiky encounter with Burnham during a day on the stump with Reform's plumber'. Daily Mail 21 May.
Christian Calgie, chief political reporter of the Daily Mail, made a possibly important discovery: Andy Burnham isn't very good at dealing with the unexpected and also has a a short fuse.
Plotting his return to Westminster, Manchester's mayor ought to have been more laid back when Reform's campaign team stopped at a cafe, not knowing Burnham was inside.
The Labour man scuttled off not before directing intemperate remarks at Calgie who seemed mystified to find a very insecure 'King of the North' who seemed to think he was being set up by the reporter.
Whoever is chosen to be Andy's stress counsellor, if he ever reaches Downing St, deserves all the luck in the world.
‘It was a remarkable barrage of blandness and a cacophony of cliches!’
Presenting coach Graham Davis slams Keir Starmer’s ‘reset’ speech and predicts how long the PM will remain in Number 10.
Sir Trevor Phillips proving once again that he’s one of the most balanced and fair minded commentators around. He has the courage to call out his own side:
“Frankly if you want people to vote for you, I don't think that the best way is to start by telling them that the guys they've just voted for are stupid and racist… And then we wonder why they hate us.”
🚨 Andrew Neil just delivered a savage verdict on Keir Starmer.
“There’s rarely a situation so bad that it can’t be made worse with a speech by Keir Starmer. No wonder he’s the most unpopular Prime Minister in modern history.”
A veteran broadcaster calling it like it is.
Labour’s collapse continues.
🚨 Former Sun Political Editor Trevor Kavanagh just delivered a brutal verdict.
“There is a smell of DEATH around Downing Street.”
He says Keir Starmer has to go and warned that crowning Ed Miliband would trigger a general election.
Even veteran insiders know Labour is finished.
Don’t let them eat cake!
Just when you thought you’d heard it all from Labour, this happened…
Labour run Bassetlaw District Council, which covers part of my constituency, is imposing a tax on people selling homemade cakes or fresh eggs from boxes at their front gates.
They’ve set this absurd tax at an astonishing £1,007. Yes, you read that correctly, everyone who has the audacity to try to make a few quid from a bit of home baking, or offers boxes of fresh eggs, usually with an honesty box, has to pay Labour a stonking great fee for the privilege.
As most people don’t even make £1,007 a year for doing this, presumably this is designed to end this harmless and in fact very endearing practice altogether.
Honesty boxes, eggs, cakes, biscuits, sold at a farm gate or the end of the driveway in a rural village.. what could be more quintessentially English. Well, not under Labour. These people govern us as if they hate our country.
To make the whole thing more absurd, the fine for failing to pay the £1,007 had been set at £1,000. So you would be better off not paying at all and get fined…
I’ve written to Bassetlaw District Council to protest. Bassetlaw’s common sense Reform UK councillors are committed to reversing this idiocy if they take control of the council next year. Another reason to boot out Labour and back Reform UK.
Has there ever been a more incompetent and out of touch group of people running our country than this Labour government and their town hall toadies?
