@thetrainline Two mornings running I’ve been unable to check train times or access my flexi-pass making me have to argue that I have a valid ticket.
Since your latest update. Please fix!!!
@TailendersPod Last two pods on Apple have had only one audio channel - It’s not me, plenty of others have the same issue. It’s the difference between listening and not listening.
(Also - not going to BBC Sounds for content if that’s the plan…!!)
People of Bramhall! 🎤🎻🎸🎄Our Christmas music concert last week was another huge success!
As always, it was a fantastic display of talent and hard work from over one hundred BHS student musicians, fifteen Ladybrook Primary pupils, our twelve expert music tutors and our amazing Bramhall High School staff, parents, and student helpers from across the whole school community.
I am so proud of the whole Bramhall High School music community for demonstrating immense resilience as we overcame the challenges of RAAC. It has been a challenge but also a privilege helping three talented, wonderful, and key new music staff integrate and acclimatise into an outstanding music department and concert programme; they have all contributed brilliantly at their first big major event with us.
All this while we completed the rebuild of all of our music classrooms, rehearsal rooms, music production suites and one to one teaching rooms three weeks before the biggest event in our calendar.
Our students and staff managed to put together an incredible evening of music, pure joy and entertainment for a 350+ audience, which is truly amazing.
Highlights from the concert include Trinity in Year 10 whose Oboe solo in the Senior Orchestra's Gabriel's Oboe was possibly the most beautiful thing we have ever heard from one of our flagship ensembles.
I also can't forget to mention how wonderful it was to see so much purple on our stage for our Intermediate Orchestra! Ladybrook Primary pupils - you were all brilliant!
All the students / pupils performed excellently, and we hope they enjoyed it and have developed more confidence in themselves to be able to say, "I'm a musician and I'm proud of that". The friendships and confidence they are developing in our department will last a lifetime.
I would like to personally thank the huge number of people who have had a huge impact on keeping music at Bramhall genuinely outstanding. If last week's concert shows what our students, staff and parents can do under incredibly difficult circumstances, I am so excited to see what the future holds for our very special little corner of the school.
Merry Christmas everyone! 🎤🎻🎸🎄
