@UKinNepal @KerrySqueeze @NicolaPollittUK That's good. So just to confirm, when we leave by repatriation flight (charter or commercial) in the coming days, we won't have to pay any fees whatsoever?
@UKinNepal@NicolaPollittUK I am a Portuguese citizen living and working for 5 years as an ICU nurse in London. I don't have a British passport. Will I be eligible for any repatriation flights to the UK? Please help key workers get home and help the NHS.

@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal Have you explored the previous suggestions to leverage Qatar return tickets for those that have them? I.e. get folks to Doha (by any airline); then lobby Qatar air to enable those with tickets to fly free from Doha to London
@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal Aside from priority groups, how will you decide who gets to go on the remaining seats of charter flight? Also, how do you ensure an equal/fair price for all (either using the charter or commercial)?
@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal@Gurkha_Brigade Nice. Really appreciate the updates and transparency. We get to empathise with the work you have to get citizens home safely.
Airlift UK: little clarity about how the operation will work but
I predict India and South Africa will be prioritised, with SE Asian locations also targeted for rescue flights.
Flat fare will be ยฃ250pp, with the balance (ยฃ1,000pp minimum) paid by taxpayer.

@UKinNepal quick q, the NTB/Stranded in Nepal are asking us to complete a survey (inc. passport details) - do we fill that in or is the information we've provided to you at BEKathmandu.Details enough?
@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal Agree with others on this - if the Qatar flights can continue and therefore be used as "repatriation" flights at no additional cost to those with return tickets, that'd be ideal
@kneupanekc @NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal Hi, we're receiving emails from Jaya tours stating there are rescue flights on the 29th and/or 30th back to the UK. Is this legit? Kapindra, your FCO email was on the cc
@UKinNepal It'd be good for more frequent progress/situ updates from you (preferably sent to the emails we've responded with to the "bekathmandu.details" address). Clearly, scammers are trying to exploit this - more transparency from you would be better. Thanks
@UKinNepal we've been receiving calls from a person with a UK accent attempting to sell seats on the German rescue flight today, claiming to be from the Embassy. Is this really you?
@monzo Hi, just had confirmation that you won't be waiving your cash withdrawal fees beyond ยฃ200 for those outside during country lockdowns. In contrast, EE provided free minutes for the emergency. Can you not lift the fees for folks in trouble?
@UKinNepal I'm guessing most folks will be heading straight to the airport to leave when the lockdown lifts, rather than detour to Kalikasthan to extend?... Can you not lobby to get a waiver approved directly at the airport departures as we leave the country hopefully from the 1st April?
@UKinNepal Hi - I am, and did that yesterday. I was hoping for more affirmative action rather than the boilerplate message from yesterday. Can you inform us of the progress with your conversations with carriers and authorities? A daily update would be appreciated
The Australian Embassy is trying to negotiate a commercial flight from Kathmandu to Sydney. If successful, there may be little advance notice. We urge all Australians to make their way to Kathmandu as quickly as possible.
