Since we are all concerned with php2shell patch, let me share the fact that, like bugs, "patch for software" is also not a metaphor.
You know that ancient computers ran on punched paper tape and cards with one hole per bit of instruction.
If the code had an error, programmers had to physically cut out the flawed section, cover the hole pattern with a scrap of paper, and re-punch the correct code onto it.
This patched piece of paper is where the term "software patch" originates.
We still apply patches, just not on paper but hundreds or perhaps thousands of endpoints.
we can model a lightning strike by finding the shortest path in a random maze, from a point at the top to the ground. To find the path, we send out a frontier through the maze, and trace it back once it reaches the ground
As a historic heatwave bakes Europe on land, a strong marine heatwave is emerging in the Mediterranean Sea.
Water temperatures have reached up to 5.5°C above normal off the coast of Italy with peak water temperatures exceeding 28°C (82°F).
This will further enhance heatwaves on land through increased humidity and also have major impacts on marine ecosystems.
This marks the 5th straight summer of a severe marine heatwave in the Mediterranean Sea, a run that has driven mass die-offs of critical species across the basin.
@adibhanna Depends on what you want to shoot. This would be a more landscape-oriented lens, but still a very solid performer. For shooting subjects/objects with a bit more emphasis, I would rather pick a 35 or 50mm lens.
Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back.
Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: https://t.co/rzM1P0QbOl
It didn’t happen all at once.
CD/DVD drives disappeared from devices.
Physical media got harder to buy and use.
Expandable storage vanished from phones.
Subscriptions became the default.
Always-online became normal.
Owning your library became “access.”
And the price kept creeping up.
Ownership didn’t improve.
It slowly turned into renting.
bro.
