@JLas43_ So true, you not only need good pitching, timely hitting and sharp defense, but any great team that goes on always some good luck on their side.
Ok so I have to vent about some of you Yankees fans. I get really tired of hearing "if George were alive he'd have fired this guy...". That was 20-30 years ago folks when the business of baseball was vastly different. You can't do that anymore.
@BarstoolHubbs I get so tired of hearing "good pitching beats good hitting in the postseason". We had good pitching. The hitting and the defense let this team down. If you don't score runs, you won't win games. That's a fact.
@nickygsmustache Dramatically over the past 30-40 years. That said, I too realize that baseball still has a long way to go to make things more fair and equal. I have mixed feelings about a salary cap, but if it's decided to have one, there also needs to be a salary floor IMHO
@nickygsmustache I totally understand that the theory is if the Dodgers win then it proves that money buys championships and we need a salary cap. I absolutely agree, there should be more parity in baseball. I can tell you from decades of watching that it has changed...
@nickygsmustache I admit, selfishly I don't want them to win. I'm tired of hearing the words "three-peat" and "dynasty" thrown around about the Dodgers. I get why you do want them to win.
@MaxMannis While I'm a diehard Yankees fan, I've become more of a baseball fan every year so yes I'll watch some of the games. And I'm rooting for anyone but the Dodgers. No three-peat, no dynasty for them.
@nickygsmustache Absolutely, definitely, 1000% NO on choosing opponents in the playoffs by anyone. Talk about throwing baseball integrity into the dumper.
@nickygsmustache@OpenedCreation Ok, now I'm understanding why you want the Dodgers to win. I can see what you're saying about things in baseball being unfair but a lot has changed over the years to even it out more. Still a long ways to go, I know.
@MaxMannis Hold my nose and root for the Rays. Am tired of hearing the words "three-peat" and "dynasty" being thrown around regarding the Dodgers. Let the Yankees be the last of both of those.
@mdestefano14 Hold my nose and root for the Rays. Am tired of hearing the words "three-peat" and "dynasty" being thrown around regarding the Dodgers. Let the Yankees be the last of both of those.
@GreenfieldMax18 I was looking for your posts as I'm not on here too often due to all the negativity. And baseball is my focus from mid February thru October, or until the last Yankees game of the season. Fans like you keep me coming back. Don't change who you are please.
@GinaMuscato Definitely not alone in feeling bad for him. Rooting hard for them to advance for the chance for him to hopefully play in later postseason games.
