@Save_Shelly_Bay@justin_lester You know, now I look closely at this BID thing one question comes to mind: Doesn’t the BID’s influence span businesses in Miramar the suburb? So wtf are they going at Shelly Bay? Oh, second question: who runs this account? I’m anon cause I’d lose my job but you’re lobbying so...
@Save_Shelly_Bay@justin_lester He’s got a good point though. The BID cost ratepayers hundreds of thousands of dollars and Shelly Bay got the nod anyway - how about the BID coughs up some WCC costs...?
@Save_Shelly_Bay@justin_lester I’m no Lester fan but come on, the BID didn’t stump up anything. It’s an open secret at Weta who gave them money to pay the costs.
@radionz It's not just Digi who were asked to support the launch, Wingnut staff were sent a similar email by Clare Olsen who works for Peter and Fran. Wingnut staff were spotted putting up the awful new billboard on the roundabout at Portsmouth and Miramar.
@essigna@deborahjonesnz@radionz Sure, because when the owner of the company you contract to, who happens to be both very wealthy and very influential, says he'd love you to do something, it's in no way coercive.🙄 Like it or not, there was an implied expectation in that email. Personally, I didn't like it.
