People are concerned about paying their mortgage or rent, affording groceries and paying for gas, not about putting together a $1.8 billion fund for the President and his allies to pay whomever they wish with no legal precedent or accountability. This is adding to our national debt. If there needs to be a settlement, the administration should bring it to Congress to decide.
A union leader for TSA employees,
“AFGE members are continuing to show up, because we are proud of the critical work we do. Today, Congress is continuing their vacation, while their work goes undone”
TSA workers were given gift cards by Tyler Perry’s team after weeks of receiving no pay and now they’re reportedly being asked to return them.
A rep for Tyler Perry says nothing has been returned to Tyler, and no one has notified them of any gift cards being returned.
Top federal union leader:
“I have never been more disgusted by the failure of elected leadership in my life”

🚨 D.C. is on recess while America is in distress. 🌴💸
Thousands of federal workers are struggling to pay rent while Congress hits the beach.
Seen a politician on vacay? Send the receipts to TMZ.
Let’s show them what ‘recess’ really looks like.
Collective bargaining agreements make VA a safer place for veterans, and a better place for employees to work—the epitome of accountability and efficiency. Yet, Secretary Collins continues to defy the courts regarding @afgenvac's collective bargaining agreement.
This TMZ pivot might put them back on the map
‘If you see one of the 535 members of Congress on vacation during Easter Break’
“Take a picture and send it to us”
TMZ asks followers to take photos of Congress members enjoying spring break following nationwide airport delays:
“While TSA workers are wondering how they will pay their bills, Congress members will be vacationing for spring break […] Send it to TMZ so we can properly put them on BLAST.”
Stories like AFGE Local 1127 President Rebecca Wolf’s are far too common.
Congress needs to 1) STAY IN WASHINGTON 2) DO THEIR JOBS 3) PAY DHS EMPLOYEES!
🚨 ATTN: While TSA workers are wondering how they will pay their bills, Congress members will be vacationing for spring break.
So we need YOU to take action and photograph them living their best life. Send it to TMZ so we can properly put them on BLAST.
DHS workers - terrible statistic.
Tens of thousands have worked with no pay for **46 percent** of this fiscal year. (!)
Here's the math for fellow nerds.
1. Today is the 39th day of the DHS shutdown.
2. The 2025 shutdown lasted 43 days.
39 + 43 = 82 days working without pay*
3. Fiscal year starts Oct. 1. This is day 175 of the fiscal year.
82 DIV 175 = 46.86%
*Noting that workers receive backpay when shutdowns end. But of course that does not pay the bills in the meantime.
