@startpage Well, I'm not being pessimistic about it, but I get the feeling all the time that #privacy is dead for normal people. Only tech-savvy people protect their privacy. For the rest, just using #brave and/or using a private search engine doesn't work. Does it?
@startpage Most people (the general population) are so scared of this situation that they don't even use 2FA. They feel that having no 2FA is better than getting locked out of their accounts.
@startpage#encryption is like I've locked myself alone in a room from the inside. Now, no one can get in. I can't get out if I lose the key and (un)fortunately there is no locksmith here.
As a normal human being, if I can't hide my online footprints from hackers, law enforcement agencies, private detectives, etc. then what is the point of trying to maintain the #privacy from search engines or companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, and Microsoft, etc.
Your phone number identifies you.
When you sign up with a phone number, apps which might seem private become vulnerable.
That's why Session doesn't require a phone number for sign-up.

Achieving #privacy is not difficult or impossible. It's like Mathematics, easy to understand for some and complex for others.
If you take one step at a time (baby steps), you will be able to walk and run eventually.
Interested in controlling your #privacy, the first step is building a new digital/online identity like the witness protection program we have seen in movies.
@startpage For layman and as an ordinary user too much concerned over #privacy, I can any day bet on @brave. I would like everyone to follow https://t.co/j54UAMNuSz. Vivaldi is great for personalization flexibility to the next level, but for privacy, a big NO-NO.
