I am proud to announce that our research foundations open-source bilingual credit-bearing information literacy course for first-year undergraduate students in the arts and social sciences is now completed thanks to generous funding from @eCampusOntario, featured at #VLSOpenHouse.
As well as recognized pedagogical approaches such as Wiggins and McTighe’s Understanding by Design and the BOPPS template for lesson planning. The course is hosted on the Brightspace platform and eCampus Ontario.
The course is full of robust lesson plans, formative and summative assessments & H5P activities. It uses broad frameworks such as the Ontario Undergraduate Degree Level Expectations and the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.
The English course is entitled "Imagine, question, search, synthesize: Research foundations for academic success". It is designed to provide academic librarians with an opportunity to embed information literacy in undergraduate programs in Ontario institutions and beyond.
