@DefiantBaptist I understand these guys’ instinct to white-knight for what they perceive as damsels in distress, but when the “threat” is actual accountability to the clear teaching of scripture….?
The part that none of these Christian feminists understand is that @pearlythingz isn’t claiming to believe or follow any of this, she’s just calling YOU guys out for not following what you say YOU believe (the Bible).
This is literally what St Paul meant when he said “the word of God would be blasphemed”.
@Kimberly_Wotas All of what you just said is >>>exactly<<< a modern feminist viewpoint and the fact that you don’t see that as a professing Christian woman is what we’re pointing out.
@US_Monarch@DefiantBaptist Guess I’ve been conditioned by the online orthobros to expect a more based, masculine response.
Perhaps with a few vulgarities.
🤣😂
@Heiserite As a young boomer, I find anything that hints of this “marriage is an idol” stuff thoroughly nauseating and contrary to page one of scripture.
@plampts87@IFFFMEISTER Also, I’m continually amazed at how presumably Christian fathers assume >>>bad faith<<< on the part of unmarried young Christian men.
In a properly functioning church, these men are prepared and encouraged to seek a wife and be prepared to provide-for and sacrifice-for them.
@plampts87@IFFFMEISTER What a properly functioning church >>> should <<< do at that point is treat her as a young widow and help her find a husband as in 1 Tim 5:14. What we do instead in the modern day is shameful- please don’t act like we know so much better today than in Paul and Timothy’s.
@BeverlyHallberg Oh good grief just stop with the “idol” language. God’s best for most people is home and family and Christians should stop it with the “gift of singleness” stuff. We shouldn’t be trying to make people feel okay about an affliction.
@plampts87@ajaugenstein Singleness is an affliction and the opposite of what most young Christian people should be seeking.
Marriage is page one of your Bible
@Bibleandbooks1@JJO80042@AmericanPresby@brlprfcalvinist Amassing large amounts of student loan debt while pursuing an advanced degree into her late 30’s isn’t putting a young Christian lady on the path to motherhood and family.
