I agree. The right vs left debate is tiring and outmoded. Though I might frame this differently, not deregulators vs regulators, but rentiers vs producers.

In the West, we have allowed the regulators to create a “rentier class” that extracts wealth from the producers. Not that this is not as simple as rich vs poor, the rentier class spans the top and bottom income bands.
