@adelel1980@MHLondon22@THTorguk Disagree about not needing to know. If disclosed during 999 call it should be passed to the responding ambulance crew. It would be wrong to withhold such information from responders once it is known. Same goes for any pertinent history given during 999 triage.
π We are thrilled to announce a historic milestone for the College of Paramedics! On July 9, 2024, the Great Seal was officially affixed, bringing the Royal Charter of Incorporation into legal effect!
Stay tuned as we continue this exciting journey together! ππ

ππ Happy International Paramedics Day! ππ
Today, we celebrate the incredible dedication and lifesaving work of paramedics around the globe. This year's theme #TheDifferenceWeMake, highlights the profound impact paramedics have in our communities every day.
#IPD2024
Today our Trust Board has approved changes to our senior clinical leadership that will see @AndySwinburnQAM become Executive Director of Paramedicine from Jan24 and us become the first UK ambulance service not to have a Medical Director leading our clinical strategy. #TeamWAST
@Ldn_Ambulance@ParamedicsUK A gentleman and a highly respected role model for paramedics. Paul was one of my clinical tutors at paramedic school (over 20 years ago). Proud to be one of many paramedics who are part of his ongoing professional legacy. Hope youβre keep well, Paul.
@simontutt88@EMASNHSTrust There does need to be an element of public self triage though; to dial 999 or access care in another way.
999 lines are finite. The trained call handling staff are finite. That non-emergency call being triaged can block the cardiac arrest caller being connected sooner.
Weβre so excited to announce the theme for #IPD2023...
π #WhatParamedicsDo πΒ
This theme has been chosen to showcase the diversity of roles and settings that #paramedics work in so that we can improve awareness and understanding of the profession.

Today, @goranhenriks & I spoke with South West urgent & emergency care clinical leads. We discussed the importance of psychological safety, built on trust. When we start working in collaborative, highly relational ways, we can't just switch trust off sometimes. See this proverb.
Well organised and engaging NMP PLI event today. 1st one for me. Thanks to @annanursesheff@BenAllenGP, guest speakers and event organisers. Dr Sloan was my personal highlight. Look forward to the next one. #NHS#Sheffield#CPD
"You are putting patients at risk"
The government are putting patients at risk. You just worked this winter - it won't get better if nothing changes.
We have workforce, pay and safety crises - and the government ignore us, nurses and other health workers. Time to act.
Recruitment and retention crisis in the #NHS⦠this need fixing. Working conditions need fixing. Patient care and clinical safety directly linked to quality and quantity of qualified staff.
