🎀How to wash your precious, cute Lolita clothes without ruining the cotton or torchon lace 🧺🧼🧫
⚠️Remember: Washing machines are originally built with powerful cycles to scrub tough stains out of sturdy clothes and towels! Because of this, washing delicate items requires extra caution.
The golden rule is 【Hand Wash is Highly Recommended】!
However, if you absolutely MUST use a washing machine, you must use a "delicate/hand-wash cycle" with detergent made specifically for delicate clothes to tone down that power!
💡We highly recommend using a specialized delicate detergent like Kao's Emal (or similar brands like Woolite). Emal's official website has an amazing laundry guide for delicate clothes, so be sure to check it out! ✨
Here are all the steps to keep your dream dress looking brand new. 👇
① Gently turn clothes 【inside out】 and place them in a fine mesh laundry net to prevent friction.
② Dissolve delicate detergent (neutral) in 【cold water】 under 30°C.
③ Gently 【push-wash by hand】 (the safest way!), or use the "delicate/hand-wash cycle" on your machine.
④ 【NEVER wring them】! Spin in the machine for only 1 minute, or gently press with a towel to remove water. *Hot water shrinks cotton fibers!
⑤ While wet, gently pull and flatten the wrinkly lace edges with your fingers. Also, gently pat the fabric with your palms to smooth out wrinkles (【hand ironing】). This makes finishing so much easier once dry!
⑥ 【Hang dry in the shade】 on a hanger, gently smoothing out any remaining wrinkles.
⚠️【BEWARE OF COLOR BLEEDING!】
Many recent fast-fashion items bleed color easily. No matter how tedious it feels, ALWAYS separate your laundry! Wash white clothes ONLY with whites (e.g., washing a white blouse with white drawers together). This is a strict rule!
⚠️NEVER tumble dry! It ruins them and turns them into a wrinkly mess instantly.
⚠️If you're not confident with ironing, paying for 【dry cleaning】 is the ultimate correct choice! Since it uses zero water, the lace won't shrink even 1mm, and your ruffles will return fluffy and brand new! ✨
