@DikshaNamdev2@nolovekumbkaran@UnderStandUpsc Diksha, what they should speak about is reforms in UPSC process. Make the process transparent, reduce the dependence on the coaching institutes. Unless you make the exam more accessible to the students from weak economic background nothing will change.
@Abhishe8298579 Even Independence of India was a dream once, There is a difference between avoiding changes and taking at least a step towards bringing a change.
I hope you got your answer?
I'm really amazed to see responses of civil servants giving advice not to reside in Delhi and prepare from home, why are they not talking about bringing changes in Delhi? Why are people in services not talking about the #Poorlivingconditions#Highrents
@Harshitnamdev01 This system definitely needs an overhaul, I wish this time the protest is not politicised and bygone. Action is actually needed, the situation we aspirants face in Delhi is the worst in all aspects.
@Gems_of_BJP@AmanRahi13 Hey Bro, this is really disgusting!!
Sounds like "an" 8th Standard typical English waali stylishhhhhhh madame 😂😂!!!
Please stop demotivating people on such silly issues !
The exam is unscientific, opaque and has a lot of issues, yet we trust the UPSC to be fair and uphold integrity but now even that image has recieved a big jolt. No system hands out such disappointment to its youth at such a young age as ours does. It shatters confidence for many.
The statistics of success in the examination are overloaded against the candidates. They are given false hopes by a lot of people on the way, they don't take up any jobs or higher education and just keep preparing. Often there is no light at the end of the tunnel. 7/n
Lack of aspirational jobs, poorly designed courses at universities means the brightest try and run towards UPSC and waste precious years preparing for the examination year after year in the hope that something miraculous would happen. 6/n
Barring a couple of teachers, none of the teachers in my school ever inspired me or emphasised on conceptual learning. This despite having studied in a posh English medium school located in central Delhi. 5/n
School education is broken to the hilt. I worked extensively with the government schools in Delhi from 2017-2021, despite the best infrastructure a large number of students in grade IXth cannot even write the spelling of school or multiply 5x5. 4/n
Apparently UPSC wants to discourage the candidates from going to the coaching institutes but doesn't publish model answers nor provides access to checked answer copies. No one really knows what works the best, in such a case candidates end up opting for coaching to get help. 3/n
Most of the teachers at Faculty of Law Delhi University couldn't even explain the basic concepts. A particular professor of Constitutional law used to read the analysis of constitutional provisions straight out of the text book he would carry with himself. 2/n
This might sound like an unpopular opinion at this time, but the truth is that coaching institutes prosper because Indian education system is broken. The best teachers I was taught by were always at the coaching institutes be it for UPSC or IIT. 1/n
