پاکستان کے بہترین اور مہنگے تعلیمی ادارے لمز نے پورے پاکستان سے چار سو بچوں کو فری سکالرشپ دینے کیلے اک پروگرام شروع کیا ہے ۔۔

غریب کا بچہ اگر محنتی ہے تو وہ اس میں اپلای کرے اسی لاکھ خرچہ اتا ہے جو کہ بلکل فری ہو گا ۔۔

لمز کا نیشنل آؤٹ ریچ پروگرام 2001 میں قائم کیا گیا تھا اور اس کا مقصد ملک بھر کے ذہین اور باصلاحیت طلبا کو مالی رکاوٹوں سے آزاد کر کے پاکستان کی سب سے نمایاں تعلیمی درسگاہ لمز میں مکمل وظیفے کے ساتھ زیر تعلیم لانا ہے .

اس پروگرام کے تحت لمز کی ٹیم ملک کے دور دراز قصبوں سے لے کر بڑے شہروں تک ہر جگہ پہنچتی ہے تاکہ اہل طلبا کو سمر کوچنگ سیشن کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا جا سکے جو اس وظیفے کے حصول کی جانب پہلا قدم شمار ہوتا ہے۔

کون لوگ اس میں اپلای کر سکتے ہیں جنہوں نے میٹرک یا او لیول کے برابر امتحان میں کم از کم اسی فیصد نمبر حاصل کیے ہوں اور ساتھ ہی اسے اعلیٰ تعلیم کے حصول کے لیے اخراجات نہ بھر سکتے ہوں ۔

پاکستان کے کسی بھی حصے سے تعلق رکھنے والا طالب علم درخواست دے سکتا ہے اور علاقے نسل یا مذہب کی بنیاد پر کوئی الگ کوٹہ مقرر نہیں کیا گیا بلکہ تمام درخواست دہندگان کا اندازہ ایک ہی معیار پر لگایا جاتا ہے۔

درخواست دینے کا عمل انٹرمیڈیٹ یا اے لیولز کے پہلے سال میں شروع ہوتا ہے یعنی طالب علم لمز کے انڈرگریجویٹ پروگرام میں داخلے سے دو سال پہلے آن لائن درخواست جمع کراتا ہے۔

منتخب ہونے والے طلبا کو دو ہفتوں پر مشتمل سمر کوچنگ سیشن کے لیے لمز بلایا جاتا ہے جہاں انہیں یونیورسٹی کی فضا سے روشناس کرایا جاتا ہے اور داخلہ ٹیسٹ کی تیاری کرائی جاتی ہے۔ سفر کے اخراجات کے علاوہ سیشن کے تمام اخراجات لمز خود برداشت کرتا ہے تاہم اس سیشن میں شرکت داخلے یا وظیفے کی ضمانت نہیں دیتی۔

کوچنگ سیشن کامیابی سے مکمل کرنے والے طلبا کو لمز کے داخلہ فارم بھرنے کا موقع ملتا ہے اور اس مرحلے کی ٹیسٹ رجسٹریشن فیس بھی لمز ہی ادا کرتا ہے۔ داخلہ ٹیسٹ میں میرٹ پر پورا اترنے والے اور مالی ضرورت کے جائزے میں اہل قرار پانے والے طلبا کو چار سالہ انڈرگریجویٹ ڈگری کے لیے مکمل وظیفہ دیا جاتا ہے۔

اب تک اس پروگرام کے ذریعے تیرہ سو سے زائد طلبا کو ملک کے ایک سو ساٹھ سے زیادہ شہروں سے لمز میں داخل کرایا جا چکا ہے اور ان میں سے گیارہ سو سے زائد اپنی ڈگریاں مکمل کر چکے ہیں۔ رواں برس کے لیے درخواستیں دس مارچ دو ہزار چھبیس تک آن لائن ویب سائٹ https://t.co/NaT8LtINFJ پر جمع کرائی جا سکتی ہیں ۔
