Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, @likhi_dr Secretary, DoF, GoI, chaired a virtual feedback session with fishers, fish farmers, and fisheries associations from Karnataka. During the session, stakeholders raised key concerns, including the need for support in ornamental fish farming, challenges in aquaculture registration, a review of fishing vessel length norms, & the development of modern fish markets. Additional issues highlighted were the lack of cold storage facilities, inadequate transport connectivity, and the need to revive hatcheries to ensure better seed supply. Discussions also covered the importance of youth training and reliable access to electricity. The session was attended by officials from the DoF, GoI, the NFDB), @nfdbindia & the DoF, Karnataka. @dof_kar
