@HPLootCraft @LimitedRunGames As a game boy enthusiast, why wouldn’t you want to open the cart? The product is the thing in its entirety, if you only wanted to display the box just buy a box. Specifically though, the cart uses SRAM chips that require battery power, so it has to be opened some day

@HPLootCraft @LimitedRunGames I would have opened it anyways, because as a consumer I want the right to be able to inspect the build quality of the product I own. Specifically though, I opened the cart to investigate why the fit on the left side of the shell was so bad it of them box

@LimitedRunGames I’m not even getting into the other poor quality design choices on the PCB where they cut corners to save a buck, the bottom line is that this product arrive out of box damaged. This is a poor quality product, LRG should be embarrassed.

@LimitedRunGames You can’t slide the shell on this release open because the PCB has been poorly designed and their are caps in the way. Those that have tried have damaged their carts. You have to carefully snap the cart apart in order to open it

@LimitedRunGames @LimitedRunGames needs a new PCB and manufacturing partner, the design on the Shantae cart is a joke. Caps are placed so the shell doesn’t even close properly, it came out of the box literally smashing an electronic component

The side doesn’t sit flush on mine. Here’s a picture where you can see it bulging. This is how it came out of the box. If @LimitedRunGames support wants to reach out to make things right with me as a customer, or issue a public apology to all of their customers now’s the time.

That image of the top half of the shell is where there’s a divot that’s been made because the shell can’t sit flush and smashes down on top of a capacitor.

PSA - if you open your cart, you have to gently pry the sides and snap it open DO NOT SLIDE IT.
