1) A senior Israeli official said "Nobody is happy with this. We understand it is not good for us, and that it harms Israeli interests. What is troubling is that Israel cannot influence it. Its voice is not being heard."

2) The anger at Trump is palpable.: "Trump screwed us, we took the hit. We're no longer in the loop and can't really influence anything."

3) Israelis fear Iran will be economically revived: "They've blown money on the Iranians, who are getting everything they want. They'll build a missile corps, and we'll have to pour money into interceptors." Israel sees oil revenue flowing back into the exact capabilities the war was meant to degrade.

4) They don't believe a deal will adequately deal with the nuclear issue: "The real test of the deal is removing the uranium and destroying it. If that doesn't happen, the sense of a bad deal will turn into something more concrete."

5) They fear this will embolden Iran: "Iran has smelled that it can achieve things by force, and it will use that against its neighbors and against us."

6) The deepest worry is not military. It is perception. After months of direct fire, Iran is seen across the region as the side that took the pressure and did not fold: "the regional working assumption will be that it was signed under Iranian pressure and American capitulation, rather than the reverse."

Israel is concerned that Iran will be stronger, the US will be weaker and that the future for it will be bleak in the region. This war has been a disaster for Israel.

First time the colonial Government in Nigeria granted public holiday for a Muslim celebration was in 1938.

Date: Wednesday, July 20, 1938. that’s when the West African Pilot ran the headline: “Muslim Community Rejoices Over Govt’s Grant Of Holidays”.

For years, Muslim groups kept pushing.

They wrote letters, held meetings, and argued that if Britain preached “justice and equity”, then Eid days deserved the public holidays.

Groups like the Ahmadiyya Movement and Ansar-ud-Deen Society were at the front of that campaign.

The Government finally caved in 1938.

The colonial admin made Eid El-Fitri and Eid El-Kabir official public holidays across Nigeria.

That was the first time the British recognized Islamic festivals in Nigerian law.

The West African Pilot newspaper said mosques in Lagos were buzzing with “enthusiasm” during Friday prayers that week.

Eid El-Maulud was added later, but 1938 was the breakthrough, the moment Fitri and Kabir moved from community celebrations to national holidays and they’ve stayed on the Nigerian calendar since then.

What's more funny is that many of you who come from nowhere blame Africans for being unproductive because Elon has been announced a trillionaire, you are very stupid and embarrassingly shameless.

You derive joy in misconstruing and distorting the narrative of genuine people who feel concern for Africa. You do not ask about the genesis of Elon's wealth and how it affects the African people, but you blame the Africans - not for being idle in the face of oppression and exploitation - but for being lazy. How does that even make sense?

Africans are not lazy. It's not laziness that makes Africa the western "shit hole" as they call it; laziness is rather the negative effect of pillaging of their resources, their alienation from their own land, and the systemic oppression that squeezes them. Elon is one of the men responsible for all the aforementioned inhumane acts against the Africans. So yes, let Africans be with your naive "laziness" argument. If you can't as an African fight for your people, get out of the way and don't make the work hard for those who genuinely care.

DANDUME IN TEARS AS BANDITS KILL PROMINENT FARMER, ALHAJI BALA SANIN KAWO

Bandits have reportedly kidnapped and killed Alhaji Bala Sanin Kawo, a prominent farmer and businessman from Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Alhaji Bala was regarded as one of the most influential agricultural figures in Dandume, producing thousands of bags of farm produce annually and creating employment opportunities for over 5,000 people. He was the eldest son of Alhaji Sani Kawo, one of the most respected farmers in the history of the local government.

According to reports, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Alhaji Bala and one of his aides, Bara'u Kwaro, were abducted by bandits while returning from one of his farms near Dantakari town. Sadly, at about 1PM today, the bandits reportedly contacted his family and informed them that they had killed him, directing relatives to the location where his body could be recovered.

May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, friends and the people of Dandume the strength to bear this painful and irreplaceable loss.

This tragedy comes amid worsening insecurity in Dandume and neighboring local governments, where residents have endured repeated attacks, abductions and killings in recent days.
