@LiveFromALounge @LiveFromALounge nobody complained until the third meal. It’s not unreasonable to expect better arrangements 16-20 hours after the incident and what the passengers went through the night. Easy to be a keyboard warrior when you haven’t experienced anything similar.

@LiveFromALounge @airindia We are extremely grateful for the captain and the crew for landing safely. It’s what happened after that’s the issue, more to do with @airindia’s way of handling things that has caused confusion and chaos, with no clear communication at all.

#AI173 with 216 passengers stuck in Magadan, Russia since 2 pm IST Tue 6/6 after technical issues. Passengers staying at makeshift accommodation in a nearby school. Conditions have become miserable, no updates from @airindia, bad food. Crew not helping. @PMOIndia @DrSJaishankar

1. No communication at all from @airindia until the recent media statement, giving rise to rumors
2. At least one person from the crew should be with the passengers to help communicate with the airline if not anything else

Yesterday, @AirIndia flight 173 from Delhi to San Francisco was diverted to Magadan, in rural Russia w/ over 220, mostly elderly, passengers.

Sat in plane for 6 hrs & after 18 hrs now, no word from Air India, @MEAIndia.

No official @airindia representative present at the accommodation. Been almost 24 hours since landing in Magadan. Just 4 bathrooms for 216 passengers, some with health conditions. Very limited food options. Not even a single concrete update yet from the airline. @IndEmbMoscow
