Elche made 10 changes ahead of facing Real Madrid.
Sevilla made 6 changes ahead of facing Real Madrid.
Real Betis made 7 changes ahead of facing Real Madrid.
Atlético Madrid made 10 changes against Levante ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
But apparently, when teams rotate their squads ahead of facing Barcelona, it's suddenly match-fixing.
When it's Real Madrid, it's squad management, player fatigue and tactical decisions.
Why is Barcelona always the problem
Why do you hate us this much?
🚨🎙️Clarence Seedorf: “If Messi can shoot himself but there’s another player in a better position to score, he would choose to pass. That, for me, is genius”
🚨 Erik ten Hag to ESPN NL: “In my opinion, Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly a fantastic player and one of the greatest players of all time”.
“But the truth is that, over the last seven or eight years, he has NO longer been capable of performing at that level”.
People do not understand how crazy this record is. 100 wins in 131 games, higher than Pep, just 5 less games than Lucho. Did this without the evil man from Rosario. With a 12 year old leading his defence. A 12 year old being his best player. A 94 year old striker. A guy from Leeds being his most prolific attacker. No pure left winger. A pretty girl as his best midfielder. A nicotine-hungry methuselah as his goalie. Kounde. And a budget smaller than my high school pocket money in a market-aggressive era.
We cannoh replace him.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City won the Premier League because they consistently beat teams like Crystal Palace, Brentford, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Everton.
Arsenal won the Premier League because they managed to do the same, even though they dropped points against their direct title rivals.
Barcelona won La Liga last season for the same reason. They consistently beat teams like Levante, Espanyol, Celta, Athletic Bilbao and Betis, as well as picking up wins away against Villarreal, Elche, Getafe and Osasuna.
They did all this despite losing to their direct rivals during the season. By the time the return fixture came around, the title race was already decided.
That’s how you win leagues: through consistency, mentality and the ability to collect points week after week, especially against the teams you’re expected to beat. It’s not just about proving yourself against the biggest opponents.
This constant attempt to downplay Barcelona’s winning streaks and big victories in La Liga is getting ridiculous.
The funny thing is that those making these arguments would love to see their own teams win games consistently and by big margins. But instead of acknowledging what Barcelona are doing, they take the easier route and try to diminish it.
