Japan’s Asian Games Hosting Is a Mess. India Would Never Hear the End of It.
- Indian athletes were left stranded in Nagoya for more than 12 hours on Wednesday with no rooms ready
- Cabins on the cruise ship also took hours to come through
- The men’s athletics team reached Tsukuba on Sunday and waited over four hours just to check in
- Next morning the hotel said breakfast was never booked, so some players went without food
- The team bus then failed to show up on time for evening training
- Players are split across three hotels, more than four kilometres from the training venue and from meals.
- Sports nutrition and even regular fruit have already become a concern
If India hosted like this, social media and news channels would have turned it into a national scandal by nightfall.
Other than the NDMC area, the rest of Delhi has fully gone to hell.
Potholed roads.
Traffic that is out of control.
Wrong side driving is the norm.
Nobody takes traffic lights seriously.
Traffic police invisible.
Garbage mountains in so many places.
Cows in the middle of roads.
A beautiful city gone to hell.
Are people aware of what is happening in the new Nalanda university? I have received a very unsettling mail from a student studying there.
He says "I am approaching you in a desperate attempt to find a way to somehow dismantle the misinformation and false narratives being propagated. While the central government claims this new structure to be the 'revival' of ancient Nalanda University, nothing could be further from the truth."
It's a long email, so I am just listing the important points.
1. He alleges that one professor K.T. Sarao delivered a talk to the whole university on how Brahmins/Hindus might have burnt the ancient Nalanda, after a conflict between Buddhist monks and Brahmins. The prof also conjectured that another possibility could be that Khilji mistook the ancient university for a fort and similarly dressed monks as soldiers; hence he might have mistakenly attacked the university.
2. He alleges that another professor, one Shailendra Raj Mehta, who visited the University couple of days back said in his lecture that the ancient Nalanda was purely Buddhist, as there was no system of building education institutes in Hindu tradition.
3. Prof Mehta also allegedly claimed that the traditions of Vaada and Samvaada were unique to ancient Nalanda, as earlier Hindus had no such tradition.
4. He alleges that one Prof Pranshu Samdarshi in a lecture stated that Upanishads were written after the emergence of Buddhism, and he quoted some western scholar.
5. Prof Pranshu Samdarshi also allegedly claimed that since Hindus could not defend their philosophical position against Buddhist Shunyata, they came up with Advaita Vedanta.
Lastly, the student has informed me that all the classes on Buddhist studies are being taught by monks and nuns. However, Hindu studies are being taught by profs who have no expertise in Hinduism or Vedanta.
I am deeply disappointed. If the new Nalanda is truly meant to revive the spirit of the ancient Nalanda, then it must revive its intellectual honesty as well. A university worthy of that name should be a place of Vaada where competing interpretations are examined against texts, inscriptions, archaeology and historical evidence, not presented to students as settled fact merely because they diminish the Hindu intellectual tradition.
Buddhism deserves to be taught by those who know it deeply and sympathetically; Hindu traditions deserve exactly the same scholarly seriousness.
A government-funded institution cannot call itself a civilizational revival while allowing one tradition to speak in its own voice and requiring another to be explained largely through the assumptions of its critics. If these allegations are accurate, the question that must be asked is - what exactly is being revived at Nalanda?

All Hindus must stand with @talk2anuradha if they want Hindu unity.
Anuradha consistently speaks for establishment of merit based education that is fair for all, and the protection of marginalised traditional Hindu communities.
The agenda to destroy Brahmin communities and lineages is part of the same agenda to annihilate Hindu civilisation and its ritualistic existence altogether.
Supporting her is about the fundamental right to free speech; which everyone should be concerned about.
If secularism means one way hatred towards Hindus, then anti-Hindu tradition is one way hatred towards brahmins.
I too am a modern woman who believes in freedom of speech, clothing, and original thoughts. I studied in a merit based society in England, and it deeply saddens me to see this grave injustice against Brahmins - just for speaking up for their own community, and the civilisation at large.

People like us who objected to Surf Excel ad a few years ago were termed as insecure Hindus.
Today, a Hindu man in Delhi has been lynched by Muslim mob coz a few drops of water touched a Muslim woman on Holi.
Take Hindu money. Then take Hindu life. It's secularism of India.

🚨Because Today, even a city like Dubai isn’t safe, Iranian Missiles Managed to hit it.
🚨During Operation Sindoor, Pakistan fired Hundreds of Missiles/Drones, yet none could cross the Indian Border !
🔴 Accept it or not, the Fact is because of PM Modi we Indians are safe ! 😎
I still cannot get over this.
Modi govt has ended Maoist terror.
Effectively, India has recovered large swathes of territory across Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Maharashtra, etc that were under hostile Communist occupation.
But govt has got almost no credit for this
US & Israel attacked Iran, and In retaliation, Iran is now targeting all Gulf Nations. Now whole Gulf is under Threat & Destruction is on both Sides in Military & Civilian Areas. US has the Advantage of its Location & is Safe.
And then there was Operation Sindoor by India. Indian Armed Forces attacked a Nuclear Nation and achieved their Objectives without hitting a Single Residential Area & any Civilian Casualty in Pakistan. They only targeted & Destroyed Pakistani Army, Terrorists & their Military Infrastructure & Terrorist Camps.
And at the same time, Despite the External & Internal Enemies, Our Govt, Armed Forces & Agencies made sure that even the day-to-day lives of our Citizens is not affected, forget any of us being under any kind of Treat. The Whole Operation was carried out without any Damage to our Military & Civilian Infrastructure & Lives.
No Praise in the World is enough for the Excellence of Indian Govt, Armed Forces & Agencies during Operation Sindoor.
As Israel, UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain count the losses caused by Iranian missiles and drones, India thanks Dr Ramarao for building the indigenous Akash that tracked 616 Pak missiles and drones (64 simultaneously) before launching interceptors, logging a neutralisation rate of 99.4%
No matter how much you criticise the man, he has ensured India remains the only oasis of stability, predictability and growth between West Asia and East Asia while the world is in turmoil.
Sitting in India right now, watching the world burn in real time. US & Israel striking Iran. Iran retaliating across the Gulf. Russia-Ukraine still raging. Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions simmering.
Missiles flying over Tehran, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar.
And here I am, safe at home on a Saturday evening, in a democratic, peaceful country, worrying about none of this at my doorstep.
We don't say this enough - we are incredibly lucky. Not perfect, not without problems. But at peace. That's not a small thing in 2026.
Remembering the ultimate sacrifice of 40 CRPF bravehearts who laid down their life in Pulwama terror attack.
Tribute & Salute 🌺🙏
