Tamil Nadu should implement an "income-based fee structure in private schools".
Today, many private schools charge the same fee from every family, whether the family earns ₹3 lakh per year or ₹30 lakh per year. That is not practical for lower middle-class and middle-class families.
Many parents in Tamil Nadu face the same situation today. They want to give their children quality education, but private school fees have become unaffordable for lower-income and middle-class families. In many households, school fees take away a major portion of family income, forcing parents to compromise on savings, healthcare, housing, or even basic needs.
What Tamil Nadu can do:
1. Fix a maximum approved fee for every private school
Based on teacher salaries, infrastructure, location, facilities, board, and audited expenses.
2. Introduce income-based fee slabs
i,e:
Below ₹3 lakh annual family income: highly subsidised fee
₹3–6 lakh: reduced fee
₹6–12 lakh: moderate fee
₹12–25 lakh: full approved fee
Above ₹25 lakh: full fee or higher contribution
3. Verify income properly
Through ITR, salary certificate, income certificate, GST records, and bank statements where required.
4. Create a government fee-support fund
Low-income students should get support without forcing private schools to carry the full burden.
5. Ban hidden charges
No extra collection under development fee, building fee, smart class fee, compulsory books, uniform, activity fee, or special fee.
6. Create a public fee portal
Parents should be able to see each school’s approved fee, fee slab, yearly increase, and complaint option online.
7. Start with a pilot project
Begin in Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, and Salem. Then expand across Tamil Nadu.
This is not about punishing private schools. It is about making private education more affordable and transparent.
Tamil Nadu already leads in many social welfare and education initiatives. Income-based private school fees can be the next major reform.

In coming days Annamalai will join hands with EPS to strengthen ADMK. like Deputy
EPS needs a young face to restrength ADMK.
Annamalai needs a bigger battlefield.
On the other side:
TVK may settle with Congress + VCK + IUML + Left + maybe MDMK in future.
That means:
TVK front → Rahul Gandhi PM face
ADMK-BJP front → Modi PM face
DMK front → survival mode
With this DMK will be left with very limited options. Then DMK and DMDK may have no choice other than each other.
DMK may try a “Lady vs Modi” 2014-style third-front drama or go with a Seeman-style no-PM-candidate stand.
It may become:
TVK-Congress front vs ADMK-BJP front vs DMK survival front.

20+ AIADMK senior leaders, ex-MLAs, MPs and ministers have walked into DMK.
This is not even some small local-level switching. In Stalin’s own 2021 cabinet, Times of India reported that nearly one-fourth of the cabinet had former AIADMK men. Around 8 former AIADMK leaders became ministers.
But still DMK will give lecture.
Look at the list:
Senthil Balaji
AIADMK Transport Minister.
Cash-for-jobs case, ED money-laundering case, all from his AIADMK Transport Minister period.
R. Vaithilingam
AIADMK Housing Minister.
Alleged ₹27.9 crore bribe linked to CMDA clearance. DVAC FIR, ED case reported.
Anitha Radhakrishnan
AIADMK Housing Minister.
DA case, ED-linked money-laundering probe, alleged assets beyond known income.
P.K. Sekar Babu
AIADMK MLA → DMK MLA → HR&CE Minister.
Thanga Tamilselvan
AIADMK / AMMK leader → DMK propaganda secretary.
Raja Kannappan
AIADMK Minister → DMK Minister.
V.P. Kalairajan
AIADMK / AMMK leader → DMK literary wing secretary.
O. Panneerselvam
Former AIADMK Chief Minister → DMK camp.
P.H. Manoj Pandian
AIADMK MLA → joined DMK and resigned as MLA.
V. Maitreyan
Former AIADMK Rajya Sabha MP → DMK.
Anwhar Raajhaa
Former AIADMK minister and MP → DMK.
R. Chinnasamy
Former AIADMK MLA → DMK.
Earlier faced financial mismanagement allegations in Anna Trade Union.
And now look at DMDK also.
In 2024, DMDK was on the anti-DMK side, contesting with the AIADMK-led alliance with BJP. Now they are into the DMK.

DMK blaming TVK’s victory on Instagram is a very weak argument when we look at the actual numbers.
PEN reportedly spent ₹31.1 crore on Google political ads in just 30 days, from 22 March to 23 April 2026. Google Ads also includes YouTube inventory.
During the same period, Tamil Nadu’s total Google political ad spend was around ₹44 crore. That means PEN alone accounted for roughly 70% of Tamil Nadu’s Google political ad spend in that window.

DMK had also hired multiple political strategy and campaign-support firms around the 2026 election ecosystem, including PEN, I-PAC, Showtime Consulting, and Sunil Kanugolu-linked support.

Also, in 2023/24, DMK reportedly declared around ₹170 crore in election related expenditure, according to ADR/TOI reporting. This is not digital-only spend, but it clearly shows DMK had a massive election campaign machine. The actual numbers will def higher than what we see in public.

So saying TVK won only because of Instagram is not a serious analysis.
The reality is simple: DMK had paid digital reach. TVK had organic public reach.
TVK’s strength came from Vijay’s fan base, volunteer energy, reels, memes, WhatsApp sharing, YouTube clips, and organic emotional connection, not from outspending DMK on social media.
DMK should not reduce this defeat to “Instagram influence.” That is just an excuse. The better way forward is to accept the result, study what went wrong, and rebuild.
To be noted - DMK was one of the 1st major political parties in India to seriously adapt to social media, and everyone knows how strong the DMK IT Wing has been for years.
But this time, paid machinery was not enough. Organic emotion defeated paid amplification.

Wondering what politics DMK is going to do in 2029. Since Congress is with TVK, “BJP ulla vanthuru bro” will give more weightage to the TVK front. Most likely, DMK will become Seeman 2.0 in 2029. #tvk#TNPolitics
Rare sight in politics: A leader taking notes. ✅🗒️
Vijay was seen carefully listening and taking notes as Opposition leaders raised complaints and concerns during the Assembly debate.
Clips from the session have now gone viral across social media and news platforms, with many people praising his calm, attentive, and composed approach inside the House.
At a time when political debates often turn into shouting matches, the simple act of listening closely and noting down concerns has itself become a widely discussed moment.
The visuals come as Vijay remains under intense public attention after recently becoming Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister and successfully clearing a crucial floor test in the Assembly.

Vijay is gaining attention not just for his political rise—but also for the professional background of ministers in his cabinet. 📚🗳️
According to discussions online, the Tamil Nadu cabinet reportedly includes engineers, lawyers, IIT graduates, and medical professionals.
The development is now being widely discussed as a different approach in Indian politics, with many supporters praising the emphasis on qualified and educated leadership.
For many people, the conversation is no longer just about popularity or cinema influence…
but about bringing professional expertise into governance as well.
