In an act of profound courage and compassion, honouring his noble intent, the family consented to organ donation, gifting the light of sight to four individuals. Proficient doctors at Command Hospital, Chandimandir executed the dream, transforming personal loss of the family into enduring hope for the recipients.

Chakra Warriors pay solemn homage to the departed noble soul and value the spirit of sacrifice and devotion of each family member.

During life, he defended the Nation; and even in his last moments, he illuminated lives.

Nb Sub Singh, a decorated veteran of Op Pawan in Sri Lanka, made the supreme sacrifice #OnThisDay 12 August in 1994 in Jammu & Kashmir.

While leading his troop in Dushan forest against terrorists planning disturbances ahead of Independence Day, he split his team and personally took on a highly dangerous area. Surprising the terrorists, his team engaged in a fierce firefight.

Despite being grievously wounded, Nb Sub Surjit Singh refused medical aid, charged at the enemy, and inspired his men to press the attack. Stunned by the assault, the militants fled, and their plans were foiled.

The #IndianBrave was awarded the Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous)

Remember Nb Sub Singh - his courage, leadership, and selfless devotion to duty. 🏵️
