*average relationship
out of every couple i've ever known i can count the number of relationships on one hand that have made me think "wow, that seems nice, i want something like that"
having an open-earth courtyard in the middle of the house is all fun and games until your rooms are crawling with the most ominous insects and half the floor space is painted with the insides of centipedes and earthworms
people delete all their ex's pics every time they break up? why? unless they were legit an abusive monster or something i don't see why you'd just pretend a phase of your life didn't exist like that. very bizarre perspective on romance and relationships imo
Inside Indonesia's slave island.
Two hours from the tourist beaches of Bali, slavery is alive and well on the Indonesian island of Sumba, where people are still born into bondage.
They work from dawn to dusk without pay, are passed on in marriage and are sometimes beaten and raped by their masters

We broke up after 9 years. A year later we realized there was NOTHING out there that came close to what we meant to each other (all bs included) we got back together and got married a year after that, life has been perfect ever since 😭
my biggest piece of life advice is that more people should break up after 5-7 years, breaking up should always be on the table and many many people’s lives would be improved by realizing it’s not a moral failing for things to change
its kinda dark that all the things many asian american men and women fought for, all the civil rights movements that originated in those very same streets in SF
and these current SV tethers happily undermine all of that by objectifying themselves racially just for personal gain
