在中国，有句顺口溜：官吃鲁、商吃粤、文人吃淮扬、贩夫走卒吃川湘。其实讲的不是菜系，而是不同地区长期形成的文化性格，与不同社会角色之间的匹配关系。

• 山东是儒家文化的核心区，最擅长培养秩序与服从，因此盛产官僚，却未必盛产商业革命；
• 广东长期面向海洋和市场，最擅长计算收益与风险，因此盛产商人，却很少热衷宏大叙事；
• 江南富庶数百年，培养了中国最精致的审美和文人传统，却也容易沉迷于风雅与体面；
• 川湘地区竞争激烈、生存压力更大，于是形成了最强烈的生命力和表达欲，也因此更容易产生情绪化与群体共鸣。

每一种文化都在塑造一种“优势”，也都在制造一种“局限”。很多人以为自己是在独立思考，实际上只是继承了脚下土地几百年形成的思维习惯。
