Just ate a delicious double-grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Thick slices of uncured ham and white cheddar on sourdough, with the bread buttered of course, but on the flip side it was topped with a grated Swiss and Gruyère mix…

The cheese mix melting on the cast iron, with the sandwich pressing down on top, creates a crust that is adhered to the bread. This is the second grill of the double grilled cheese.

IMO Educational support staff deserve a starting wage greater than $24k. That’s only a smidgen above (about $1.20/hr more) than minimum wage in Mpls ($10.33/hr for a large employer). Shameful, given MN’s projected budget surplus of $9.25 b b b billion😔

Jose Bodeya, educational support staff, said educators work hard for students, and deserve to be compensated (union wants to raise starting wage from $24K to $35K): ”For the district to say that they don’t have the means, I think, is a disrespect to the profession itself.” (3)
